Stock pair pedigrees. These have bred me winners after only a year and a half in the stock loft. Also bred me birds that should have had chalks this year but have been unlucky.

This gaby hen got me 8th fed, 3rd club this year. Also my first bird from a lot of the longer harder races/ performed really well for a yearling up against older more experienced pigeons. She only had one race as a yb due to being natural and dropping to bits.

Should have won more but I didn't get the hang of proper feeding until half way through the OB season.

This Gaby Hen came good as a YB and was put into the stock loft as I had a lack of hens at the time. Some of her children have been in the race team this year and been in my first 10 back every YB race.

Got a prize or had my clock off every YB race apart from one. I also give overfly to every member of our club. Had the first 5 - 7 birds back down our set of allotments every race apart from 2.

What a difference the darkness system makes!!!! As these are the same YB's I was flying natural in 07 and only got 1 chalk! These birds have scored as yearlings proving they aren't crap so just shows the darkness does work.

Here is proof of my best performance of 2008 printed in the BHW

6 birds sent!

Fastest Bird in Amal 5,056 birds

1st Fed

1st Club - won by 15 minutes. Thats a lot for a 178 mile race

Loft mate scored:-

8th Fed

3rd Club

We aren't like clubs and feds down south. There are only 4 club pos's to fly for and only 10 pos's in the fed. That amount of times I have lost out this year by a few sec's especially in the YB's and ended up 5th club, 6th club, 11th fed etc is soul destroying but thats pigeon racing up here for you. If the bird goes round you are knackered waste a few seconds clocking on you are knackered. Plus no ETS in our club we are only using T3 clocks plus some people in the Amal are using ETS so hardly a level playing field! But pigeon racing never is when you look at all the other variables such as loft location, wind etc. Plus very very good pigeon men in our club and fed hard to beat when its only flew a year and a half.

This performance was achieved in a north head wind as well. Always the best one's when its not a blow home paper bag day.

I also own a nestmate of the bird that was second club, 5th Fed that day. Look in the Deerness Valley Fed column to see this. I bought this along with the rest of the new stock birds referred to in my Advert from Mr I Metcalf who is a top flyer and has had to retire due to ill health and our local allotments being sold. This bird is an 07 cock, Klak Janssen that has a broken wing he won club pos's and fed pos's as a YB before breaking his wing and being put into the stock loft as a promising breeder.

Ian picked a Klak Janssen hen out for this bird that also has chalks. I look forward to next years breeding as it can only add to my team that I am building up. Birds off these are all available. £30.00 each off stock or if you buy six at £120 only £20.00 each which is nowt for birds of this quality.

Birds off the racers will be £25.00 each. See my advert for more information.

I'd also like to point out that all my old birds where flown on natural system this year. Beating widow cocks and roundabout birds on sprint races. Next year I will also be flying a team of widowhood cocks as I feel this should strengthen my game even more.

Natural Hens take some beating and I will still have a team for these but I feel widowhood will be even better and suit the more widowhood oriented bird such as my gabys even more.

Further proof of my performances in YB National this weeks Homing World page 79. West Durham Amal Deerness Valley Fed

3rd Fed P Fullard. This bird also won 1st club. The next race to this it won a fourth.

The following is more info about my performence from that race from my advert:-

"From the WDA Young Bird National Billericay (233 miles), 6,9444 birds I sent a total of 23 birds and won the following:-

Flash a direct son of the raggster won the following

3rd Fed, 1st club

At the time of writing Flash?s WDA position for this race is unknown. The only two birds to beat him in the fed were raced by Hodgson, Son and Cowie who are top flyers in the WDA. These two birds are both in the top 20 of the WDA which has been published on their website. http://www.wdapigeons.co.uk

I have heard verbally from the fed sec that he has seen the top hundred and thinks my bird is roughly 26th WDA. Hopefully these results will be published soon. Flash won the club by 10 minutes proving he takes after his mam.

To prove it wasn?t a fluke I also won, with a Van Loon x Direct Martin Ali cock:-

4th club. This cock also won the first young bird race and has been on the clock most weeks.''

Is that last blue tick eye the one I bred you Paul?

She's a van reet off one of my dad's mates in the Durham Combine a guy called Tommy Bussey whose a top flyer. Tommy has a cracking season taking first 5 - 10 in the fed and stuff. Came ok but missed quite a few races cause she hit a wire training she's in the channel team for next year.

Got some cracking blue hens off the channel pair I got off you

Not the flipey, the one in the piccie above, you added a piccie while i was typing haha

Thats also one of his he breds a lot with ticks behind their eyes. Dunno what strain they are as he never tells you just a pair number. Think they are staff van reets through as he has a lot of blue and whites that seem to win.

Also bred some nice yb's off that van reet white flight cock I got off you paired to a van loon hen. Fast pigeons
