The English Premiere League will be badly affected, but maybe for the better, far too many inferior foreign players coming into clubs to the detriment of young English players. The same up here, far too many non Scottish players, wouldn't be so bad if they were quality players, but they in most aren't. Wage bills for some of these have became nothing short of a scandal, 200/300 k a week and the poor souls cant play 2 games a week without needing a break. When I started work in seventies top Scottish players got approx. 3 times the wages of a tradesman so Mcneil, Greig etc

were on £120 a week...…….I don't think joiners/Plumbers are earning 30k a week these days, so what happened?

Know doubt there will be some palms greased ,what will make it corruption in football will now be controlled by slippery councilors and MSP,they position themselves in to forever and rule football at one time football was beneath them, and now as we know them on the take money for questions easy fiddles

I didn't realise it was as bad as only 41%

of players in the English premier league are from the uk

 

bring back the 3 non uk player rule

will give young home grown players a chance
