Gary you posted the above yesterday,in another post you said that you were going to make exceptions for various reasons,but at no time did you state that the exception was being made to the jamieson family who have my deepest condolences on there sad loss. maybe if you had things would have been a bit clearer. My objection was about making exceptions for people who come up with a story simply because they forgot to comply with the rules set out for everyone & the possible advantages they would be given over someone who has complied. I hope that Bobby Dickson will reconsider in the light of what we now know,but that is entirely up to him. This will be my last post on this subject suffice to say that if you adhere to the rules set out,no one can argue with them. thanks and again my condolences to the Jamieson family and now i can understand there situation. YOU HAVEN'T ADDRESSED THE UNFAIRNESS TO THE MEMBERS THAT HAVE ADHERED TO THE RULES.

Ian Mckay is correct,the rules for this breeder/buyer SHOULD NOT BE changed at the last minute. Why should someone who has not adhered to the rules set out originally for this now be accepted because he comes up with a cock and bull story after the designated date & time. If you accept late ring numbers then these may have an advantage over the members who adhered to the original rules. ie,someone who adhered to the rules ,submitted their ring number by the agreed date and then has this bird say taken by a hawk on 1st May is then out,but someone who did not play by the original rules is in.That's not fair! And Gary(blaz)although i applaud you for the work you did and are doing for the"olivia appeal"and you say the breeder/buyer was started to generate a 'bit of fun & banter" because of the interest shown by the members on the site it has turned into more than just a bit of fun. the prizes that can be won are'nt exactly sweetie money. stick to the rules and you won't have a problem,change them now and you open up a minefield.
