  1. Hi, No, there were not wing stamped. I was too keen to see them fly and return. Bit too keen a guess.
  2. no not yet
  3. Thanks for your replies. Is 3 weeks enough time for them to get to know the place before releasing them, as they were only 11 weeks old?
  4. Hi all, After all the help and advice you folks gave me, I managed to lose my 2 pure white logans. Only had them for 3 weeks and opened the hutch door to get them familiarise with the location and they both flew in different direction and never came back. They were only 11 weeks old. I did not feed them the morning I let them out. Thought thy'ed sit on the roof and come back down for food. This was on Tuesay 30th January at 11am. I've put a note in the Lost and found section if anyone finds them. Cheers Mohammad
  5. Hi All, I've lost 2 pure white logan pigeons. They are about 11 weeks old. I had them in a my hutch type loft for 3 weeks and let them out for the first time. They flew in different directions. I live in Hounslow West area, one bird flew Hounslow Heath direction while the other flew Isleworth direction. One bird had pink ring while the other had green ring. If anyone finds my birds then please call me on 0772-7605-361 Many thanks Mohammad
  6. What do you mean by "stamp them out"? Cheers
  7. Coxy, They are about 10 weeks old now. They had never been outside the loft I bought them from. I have two birds and I don't know what sex they are either. They are from the same nest. Cheers
  8. Hi All, It's me again. I've now had my white logans in a rabbit hutch type loft with wire mesh in front. The pigeons have been able to see outside from one angle of the garden. I bought them on 6 Jan 2007. Is 3 weeks long enough for me to open the hutch door and let them fly around or do I need more time? If so how long? The pigeons still seem to be afraid when I put my hand in the hutch to feed or clean. Is this normal behaviour or do they get un-afraid at some stage. Cheers
  9. Rose, What is the address of the Sloough shop and what is its name? Cheers
  10. Hi guys, I telephoned the manufacturer as per Ians message and they gave me a name of a stockist few miles down the road in Wraysbury. I then did a search on manufacturer names as per Andy's message and found a place in Hayes which is 2 miles down the road from me. I got the lot! feed, grit, minerals, feeders. They stock many different feeds from many manufacturers. Wiley, I think I've saved myself a visit to east London! All you guys who reponded, many thanks!

  12. Hi all, I've been trying to locate pigeon feed locally. Seen some sites on the internet but they are based in the north of England and charge just as much for the delivery as for the feed itself. I've tried my local pet shop aswell but they are unable to supply. Does anyone know of where I can feed near West London (Heathrow side). Cheers
  13. Thank you all very much for your advice.
  14. Wiley and Westy, When should I start giving them an ounce per bird per day? After how many weeks? When are they classified as being fully grown? Cheers
  15. Hi All, Thank you to all those who responded to my previous question. Now to my next question: I have two logans about 6-8 weeks old. How much should I feed them? Is two desert spoons 2 times a day enough. What is the feeding technique? Should I take away the feed after 10 minutes? Many thanks
  16. Thank you all very much for your suggestions. They are all very useful. I have just received my sonic pest repeller. I will sit and watch when a fox comes into the garden and see its response to the sonic repeller. Cheers Mo
  17. Hi, I am brand new to the pigeon world and I've just bough two 6-8 weeks old beautiful white logans. I do not have a big loft, only something I built myself 4ft wide X 2ft high X 2ft depth. It has a wire mesh 3/4 across the front. (looks more like a rabbit hutch). It is placed on the decking in my rear garden On the first night I bought my birds I saw a fox near the hutch, I immediately turned the hutch so the wire mesh was against the wall. I am building a table which is 3ft 5inches high. Now on to my worry and question to all you pigeon experts out there: Can foxes break their way through wire mesh? Can foxes become immune to the utra sonic fox deterrents Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Mo
  18. Hey Jeremy, Do you still have the pure white logans remaining? You can call me on 0772-7605-361 Cheers Mohammad
  19. Hi, I know of a lady who breeds pure white logans. I'm after a pair and she is unable to tell the sex of the logans. If you can help to distinguish a male from female then you'll also be helping me out as I am after my very first pairs of pure white logans. I am also new to pigeons. Please call me on 0772-7605-361 or e-mail me at mi_bora@yahoo.co.uk Regards Mohammad
