  1. Smart loft.
  2. Id agree with bonzo, ive seen a few in other peoples lofts.
  3. Not sure which is the correct answer but in our limited experience we handled all our young birds after each race as they trapped,up to 36 were sent at one time.We never had a bad trap because of it,and our birds would be what you would call over fed, just think they had a happy enviroment.

    Trapping

We have used the same sputnik for young and old birds and only had a bad trap when a strapper arrives with our bird! :
  5. Nice birds ben indeed, liked the view your lofts have, what strain is the cock that flew dax 3times?Like the look of him alot. Thanks Bazza
  6. What strains have you got Craig? We have alot off light checs or the odd blue in the brasspenning lines like so.
  7. Hi Craig, they have bred down from Graham Warrens,Top fed prizewinner for the past 6years!they did the business for him! Westy the w/f is a belg96 van riel !All the best Bazza
  8. My father kept them as a boy, gave up when he moved from s,wales to london, then in 1984 we decided to buy some late breds.I was 11 at the time.We lived on a big estate in peckham,so had to have our loft on our balcony which was about 40 or so feet off the floor! It was about 12 by 6.Had a few successes till i went off to race bikes.Dad continued until he moved back to Wales. As i lived in london used to visit and help out when i could, then last year his health suffered and my interest rose,so for one reason or another i moved down to race full time in 06!PHEW!
  9. Classy birds indeed
  10. Thanks for the replys. They are mainly Huskens van-riels, brasspennings and a few lefebre-dhaneans.My dad flew them before i moved down here to wales from London last year,The chec cock on the left won numerous club wins also some good fed positions up to Thurso.A few years ago .They have access to the aviary all year, them seem to like the snow! The phone is a cheapish £40 Motorola L6 ,good luck Bazza;)
