  3. Thanks all, the bird is a year old, never seen these little lumps before. One had split and i could see a tiny speck of blood. The birds are just after finishing a treatment called B.S. (not sure if thats the right name, but thats all it says on the pack!!) Its supposed to treat canker and coccidiosis and bacterial infections etc so I would be surprised if its canker. Going to try the iodine treatment. Will try and upload a pic at some stage. Cheers.

  10. Hey there everyone, I have some tumblers who decided to nest on the floor of the loft, I saw the built nest with two eggs in it. I noticed the following day that the had picked up the nest, eggs and all and moved it to a spot about two meters away, is that unusual? I kept an eye on the eggs and as one hatched i noticed that one had gone missing. A day or two later I found this egg, cracked open with a near full term chick inside, out in the flight. Would this chick have been dead in the shell and the parents removed it from the nest or whats going on???
  11. Thanks for that. I'll check 'em out. ;D
  12. Hello there, Anyone know where I can buy a couple of pairs of good quality, performing B. Rollers in Ireland? Cheers
  13. Hello, I've just noticed that one of my hens has quite a few feathers missing from the top of her head. This has only happened recently and I thought it may be due to pecking by the other pigeons? Could this be true? and if so is there any cure? Cheers
  14. Hey there, I just got four tumblers myself. They are all old birds. I kept them in for two weeks, feeding them at a set time each evening and using a rattle to indicate feeding time. Reduced their feed the day before I let them out. I then let them out in the evening. Two failed to return that eve but turned up the following afternoon starving. They haven't left since luckily.
