Got back from the best pigeon weekend ever! 1st class travel and accomodation courtesy of Norman Bell , excellent company including the lads from cumbria who didn't understand time zones lol . superb mixture of events all in all complete value for money , my son hasn't stopped smiling yet , and even though my wallet is empty neither have I. Anyone wanting to go abroad i recommend Norman

Opened the door to let the YB'S have a nosey around and within minutes this black one was doing turns and rolls across the sky , it kept going for well over 10mins , I thought I'd got a champ in the making , when I looked on the roof,the Yb I thought it was was still sat there , i'd left the yearling door open. This cock was a gift bird , but he flys very well ,generally in an away sort of direction. lol if you get him in let me know ( pm me , ) Cheers Juan

in one of the interviews in the british homing world a fancier stated that adverts on the sides of buses to promote the sport to the recently retired ( as well as the rest of the country) I think this is a great Idea

We've got 2 entries into the rpra one loft race this year, One for my kids school - they get all the winnings ( fingers crossed ) and the other one is a 50/50 venture with the head teacher for children from underpriveledged backgrounds , a programme which she is involved in. When we approached her she was over the moon , it's the greatest teaching aid the school has ever been involved with . The notice board has a whole section entitled guess whats coming to our school , and the kids are invited write down what they think the surprise is , various clues are provided but no one has guessed it yet. We are currently shooting a video showing the youngsters from eggs to weaning and what happens over a race weekend .then we are going to show this to the whole school - taking in some of our birds to show and then they are going to be told about the one loft race , there's a competition planned to name the birds etc. the head has us giving weekly reports on the birds progress she's really positive about the whole thing because it takes in all the sciences, maths , history and geography.
