not so good Stuart... some fanciers have had there youngsters scattered at very short YB taining by peregrines this year already, not looking good for the young bird season, they will be alot of young percy's kicking about also!
do a random check in the morning to see if they are retaining seed in there crop, if the crops are empty then not much to worry about but do keep man eye on them and check once again the following morning. if seed has been retained overnight then you have YBS, starve for 48 hours then build up from there with a light mix (depurative or diat)
its about time federations started racing as amalgamations or combines again, when we flew with the central & east of scotland amal with birdages upto 10,000 in some races, losses where a lot less than what we experience these days...
