We tried open plan but the cock of the loft tried to control 4 nest boxes, agree now close unused boxes and put wouldbe pairs in them for a few hours. I think you keep fantails, fancy pigeons etc like us so it is different than racing fanciers as they tend to follow the race schedule, where we tend to breed for different results

Banter taking over threads
DOVEScot replied to rockinrick's topic in Website News, Views & Computer Related Info
Typical politition answer the part that suits or is easy to pick out Fair comment about the banter, but be fair about it, You may be the most consistant if not the most prolific at deleating or moving threads, but you only seem to do it to certain ones or should I say you ignore the threads and let them run, especially if an other moderator starts or is party to the thread Also you made an accusation against me but when prove you were wrong never appologised or retracted it, if fact when I asked if only one family member was allowed to register again, no reply and thread was totaly removed, no explanation given, my youngest son waited nearly two weeks to get valdation email -
Banter taking over threads

You seem to have missed the fundimental point, there seems to be rules for some and not for others with the moderators, there is no rules but there is a code of conduct which when certain people stretch it, the unfairness begins to show If certain names crop up then they seem to be single out and the oppsite the others actions are ignored Most of the banter on the main board is done between aquaintences shall we say, so it is seen by the majority for maximum impact, what's the point in slagging each other in a private message or on a forum nobody watches unless it starts on the main board forum -
Okay thanks anyway, will find out more about the birds he has and wants and try again

Banter taking over threads

How do you expect us mortals to tow the line when your deciples don't lead by example, In fact the opposite, they start chit chat and take part in hijacking threads in the main board, Leave threads running if one of them start it even though it was or becomes banter Delete or remove threads without any reason given This thread is a classic example.....The person that started the thread complaining about hijacking sites was quoted as doing the same thing himself earlier Its easy lay down the rules, warn or yellow card offenders, time ban or red card offenders but give players a means to complain about bad refereeing ITS UP TO YOU WEBMASTER KEEP AND CONTROL A GOOD SITE OR JUST LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS A FREE FOR ALL I would appreciate an answer or a comment please -
Honestly I would not get away with it, when I moved in the house was a shell and have constantly upset neighbours by renovating and modernising it, they would love to stop me doing anything if they could Not much done this w/e as merchants are shut due to bank holiday ;D ;D ;D ;D good excuse ;D ;D ;D

Banter taking over threads

I think the whole site needs looked at, being a scot have had threads taken off because I asked questions, no explanation or reason given by moderators. I find quite a few times if a moderator starts or is involved in threads, even though it is banter or chit chat is is left to run. The banter sometimes is cruel/near the bone sometimes but some of the criticisim is justified. And south of the border has some p#ss heads of their own so don't just lay all the blame on the scots p#ss heads and by the way were p##s heeds ;D Have a look at the other sites like www.pigeon-chat.com and see how they list things like moderators for one thing -
cheers never heard of them either, what about sebrinas???
-
Not sure if this is the right way to spell it or not, freind is looking for some of these please
-
Here's one I built earlier this year for the youngest, thats why he is called "cabin boy". Keep threatening to throw him oot and move pigeons in ;D
-
Managed to get some more done today, managed to get base joists completed, hoping to get floor on and framing started tomorrow
-
Good advice too late, already cut and set base leg supports. Although it will be low enough to stop cats getting underneath, not that we get any bother with serch and destoy. And high enough to send in the ferrets for vermin control

Does anyone have the numbers of different pigeon associations We started pigeons again by just getting a few fantails in a dovecote, We did not bother ringing the fantails, Now I have got some rolands and logans, ma wee chickadee has a number of fancy fantails and runts, our youngest cabin boy has just got some racers I don't think there's one association that covers all registrations, so can you point us in the right direction please
-
Why is it good to have base 18" above ground please?
-
This was the day she met me, never looked back ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Am no as daft as I look, sometimes Me and ma wee chickadee

That's the basic outline of the base in the picture. It's 8" x 2" doubled round the the frame, supported in the four corners and also in the middle of 5m length, so 8x2 x 2 pinned with a span of 1.6m it will be well supported Yes I have a class1 engineers cert and know fine well about beam deflection, wait and see the base as it developes Just positioned, pinned the joists and squared them cape and corner today Thanks though

Plenty of hay and as long as you don't fertilise the eggs you'll be fine ;D ;D ;D ;D
