I think amtrak as a whole are trying to run an efficient business, but it seems to be just certain individual drivers and break downs in comunication that fooked it up. As you say you have a good driver in your area and so do we, but if a cog in the chain fooks up then it causes all the problems we and our birds incur Sadly at times there seems to be a lot more fooed up cogs that good ones ;D ;D ;D Surely the answer to Poly's boxes was for Soke on Tent to phone their head/supply office. not a Kirkcldy problem :-/

Police have just been and taken statement and are now doing door to door in the street, they seem to be taking it serious, I have informed them as well about past incidents with nuisance reports to the authorities, never thought someone would stoop so low :(

Aye this time it has to be official, it may not be connected but it is a very strong coincidence that I seem to have beat their last attempt and now this :-/ :-/ :-/ With all the gun propaganda just now I am sure the police will take it seriously and if not will aproach local councilour on Monday, even if I can find out who it is then name and shame them, then let society deal with them

Returned home from airport run this morning to find a dead pigeon on the lawn at the front of the house, one of my neighbours said it looked like it had a broken wing earlier. On inspection found it had been SHOT by a pellet gun, I hope this is not the next step by the two faced people that pretend to be our friendly neighbours Waiting on police to arrive, because if it is them then they have certainly gone too far this time Sorry for the upsetting pic, but this is how far things have gone

The grey feeders like in the pics, also they come round to loft at the rear of the house to get fed

I made it so all the panels that house the door sections open, but normal dove cotes you just clean out with a triangular scraper

Here is the latest addition to house our bird family, just taken the homing net down and cut the grass ;D ;D ;D

That's fine by me, anybody welcome at our house, we stay at Cadham Village in Glenrothes, just look for the dovecote on the front lawn ;D ;D ;D

We had a visit from the enviromental health today due to the complaints that were made He agreed that the complaints were unfounded as there was no nuisance mess from our pigeons both from droppings and feathers He was here about the this dove cote on the front lawn, I explained to him that there was a homing net there, but was cleared by the planning department as it was a temporary "structure". The homing net is now down and we now have this nice feature on our front lawn Hand made by myself by the way :) He asked if he could check the rest of the property and again we got a clean bill of health, pigeons, loft, food in vermin proof containers The complaints were made by someone, although he could not give us their name but it was none of our immeadiate neighbours and his words were " looks like someone just does not want you to do what you are doing" YES SHERLOCK IF YOU COULD SOLVE THIS ONE IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED :-/ :-/ :-/

Yes hot air rises but also you have to consider as well the density of it, helium that has the same ambient temperature still rises :-/

That's exactly the the point, that's why it has to be a malicious complaint from someone just making problems for us Plus the woman next door where the only feathers have landed is on holiday, so it will be interesting the date the complaint was made, but as I have said I cut her grass anyway as a favour so why on earth would she complain :-/

Agree that is the main thing, getting rid of stale air from droppings that are more inert than fresh air, as they rise to the highest point as the denser fresh air pushes it up

I agree totally with your theory and it does rule out most on Pigeon Basics but certainly not all, There is a lot of members know our address, either though me, Chickadee or Cabin Boy as we have invited a lot of members to visit through PM's or through buying pigeons :-/

That's exactly what I meant, I was answereing a post, I only know two Fifers on this site, One is Polly and she is friendly with Chickadee and myself and the other is The Fifer and I have had no trouble with him either, just thought it stange that we have sent him six PM's in the past and he never opened them let alone answer them, but never thoght for a minute he was contacting the council I am peed off because it seams to be one of my neighbours, all of which are friendly it seems on the outside, yet reporting unfounded compaints to the authorities on the otherside This time it being a cracker because the nature of the complaint is absolutely rediculous, the feathers are from a dovecote on my front lawn and due to them being confined in a homing net, there are feathers in my and next doors front lawns both of which I maintain ???????? I cut both lawns regularily but have cut back a bit so less stress to the birds in the cote and obviously coudn't cut the grass inside the netted area, and all my neighbours new this was temporary and is in fact now been taken down and both lawns have been cut, so I find it very strange that any of the others would complain even though the feathers did not effect them ???????

As long as it's no "SOMEONE" she is trying to pick up ;D ;D ;D unless they have fallen or down of course ;)
