Just an opinion :-/ Any member that sells of THEIR excess stock cheap to members should not pay a fee, any member that sells of OTHERS excess stock for as much as they can should pay a fee, any member that just uses the site for this purpose should pay a higher fee :-/

The first one is a very good cross, a lot of indian in it but not up to show standard, every show bird is a cross and in time if bred right you could get good ones out of it by working at it The rest may be good as well just not up to standard again you just have to work at it to achieve the standard by breeding the cross out of them

I have learned a lot form ma big pal Coxy and thankfully so has a lot of others on this site and other sites as well, also so has his local police, he is a prolific conman but not the brightest button on the jacket :-/ The good thing is he is just very minute part of life, like a boil on your butt, very sore at the time and something you have to squeeze all the poison out of if you can reach it ;)

The saying 'A wiseman learns from others mistake ... a fool by their own' is not really an issue, for any of us can be conned... like nipping down Stoke for a bargain lol ;D ;D But many learnt from the poor git that did it lol. :-/ ;D ;D. Aye, and the 30% is calculated on the total roof area not the size of the loft, you don't need planning permission normally if you stick to this but there are exceptions, we stay in a concervation area and anything requires planning permission, but we do not pay a fee for things that are normaly acceptable, like huts lofts ect but still had to for extensions and garage :-/ Again this is the basic building control regulations but some councils have by-laws and flexibility and some none at all

I don't think the issue is that Richard making money out of the site, as long as he is upfront about it, good luck to him or anyone else, but there are are people that defintely do, dealers and studs can come on here and sell their wares and only one that I know off "S Swilcox" makes good donations to the site, I am sure there are more. The issue is to seperate these guys from the normal fancier who sells or gives his excess stock for minimal sums of £30 or less. :-/

Maybe an idea, with over 3000 members on the site a token payment of £1 each to join would more than cover any costs to run the site, or would it have to be more than that, say £2 or £3 pounds each :-/ Instead the big studs I am sure could split the running costs for advertising on the sites along with the other advertisers that are on the side bar :-/

We all know the ones that only post when they are selling birds, apart from the banter where you will pay megabucks for my pigeons, I must add I have never sold a bird on the site, this year I have rehomed over 100 birds from Billy's lofts all for free and gave away over 100 birds this year to members, new starters and restarters Although I have have paid a lot of money for the stock I have, I have also got some gift and cheap birds from friends that I have made on the site :-/

Bearing in mind one of the biggest con men on here was a Veteran "Coxy" with 838 posts so if you want to you can bide your time posting then hit the sales target set no matter what it is :-/

As far as I know this is site is run for free, but if I am wrong I am sure I will be corrected :-/
