it is sad and sickening, when you hear this kind of activity happening. The person who did this need their legs cut off and dumped on the road ( figure of speech) I hope we can all work together and track this person down. Good luck and keep us all informed.

Hi there A nice, pretty looking hen grizzle racer pigeon, still with the rubber ring on, someone had caught it and sold it for the chop/pot. My friend rescued the racer pigeon from the local petshop for £3.00, because it was nice looking and did not desired the faith of the chop. I traced the owner who does not even remember losing him. Arranged collection for today and dropped of the pigeon to them and guess what? Just a thank you and was not offered the purchase price? This was not fair and was unjust. No wonder all strays that are found and not being returned and yet being sold for one pound for the chop. How many birds have ended this way? Never mind we shall continue with the good deeds and this is what true birds flyers and fanciers do. Thnaks

hi there true fanciers A question relating to the retirement of racing pigeons. Over last few weeks I have returned many racers to their rightful owners, but sometimes I see many at the local cage for the slaughter or pot. If the pigeons have been injected, treated for worming, canker etc, surely the pigeons are then not for human consumption? how true is this? please do leave sensible replies. thanks
