    NFC Auction

Thats why we put the 10 min rule on the RPRA 1Loft auction this way it does not stop dead and someone missis out on a bird they really want.
  5. Reply to Ribble. I have been asked to bid on a few for some friends of mine but there are 1 or 2 there i would like to race as yearlings.
  6. I think you are on about Mike Lycett. He did say that he is bidding for someone else or don`t you think he is telling the truth?
  7. A Healthy pigeon the tonge should lie flat. Some times they stand up if the bird is over weight.
  8. Hi There. The auction is well under way now and there are going to be some great bargains to be had. Don`t forget these young birds have all flowen 200 miles and had alot of road work so you no that your breeding off tryed and tested birds. And the region birds 50 % goes back to the Schools. So why not take a look its quite fun bidding.www.rpra1loftrace.co.uk Regards Jeremy. RPRA Loft Manager....
  9. Hi fellow members. Got the same a member wanted a white cock bird and out of the kindness of my heart i said i will give him 1 for free. So i gave him my address etc waited for amtrak the next day. 6pm came no Amtrak! I phoned the chap that evening his wife took the call said that he was out. Asked could he phone me she said that he will do. He did not phone. I phoned back the next day his wife took the call and she told me he don't want it anymore. All my time wasted hanging around phone calls etc. This was a chap was in his 40,s he should no better. And if he does this again i will name and shame him in the fancy press etc. The sport can do without time wasters. You wasters no who you are be warned. Jeremy..
  10. YOU WANT TO THINK WHAT DO YOU WANT TO WIN AND AT WHAT DISTANCE. SEE IF THEY TREAT ALOT BECAUSE IF THEY DO THEN YOU HAVE TO DO THE SAME. TRY AND BUY PROVEN BREEDERS OR VIRGIN STOCK THATS GENERATIONS OF THE DISTANCE RACES THAT YOU WANT TO WIN. ITS BEST TO SPEND MORE MONEY HAVE 2 PAIRS OF TOP BIRDS RATHER THINKING BUYING 5 PAIRS THE SAME PRICE AND ENDING UP WITH RUBBISH. DISTANCE BIRDS TAKE SOME FINDING BUT THEY ARE OUT THERE. ALL THE BEST JEREMY..
  11. I have a couple of spare cocks you can have. 07739148679.Jeremy..
  12. will the herbal radox kill the lice eggs that hatch out a few weeks later?
  13. Hi there lice do not suck on blood only mites do that. lice live on the pigeon by eating the bloom of it which is the pigeons dead skin high in protein. The best way is to spray the birds under the wings and the behind with duramitex or use perthrin or dip them in a bucket. You wont kill lice by putting anything in the water only worms and mites if using ivermectin. Do what i said at the start and you will be free of them for a while. Regards Jeremy..
  14. Ps. I would cut the ring off as soon as you can.
  15. Hi there You might have paratyphoid in this bird which can cause swollen joints and go off there legs. Treat with bayril for 10 days should cure it.

  17. There are flyers who entered 4 and had 4 back from the final..
  18. Hi Tony. If we look at the one loft races around the world there best % rates is around 50% to the final race. But what you must think of is how many return. I belive there were 10 on the day from the channel challenge from 450 orginal entries at 200miles. Europa 13 on day from 2400 orginal entries 300 miles scottish one loft race not many left from 200 entries SW one loft race 11 back on day from 240 orginal entries. rpra 219 on day 350 back total from a 1000 200 miles. So the figures do say we are 1 of the better ones. But i am not running the others down as i no how hard it is. ;D
  19. Cheers
  20. Hi There. I am new to this site you guys might have made a mistake. There are 80% returns from the final race of the 467 birds that went to the final. Which is the highest % of all returns on the uk in one loft racing. If you look at the vgrc in the west mids only 43 % went to East Prawle no one no`s the returns rate back from the race and thats flying back to there own lofts. The 1loft birds are always clashing with birds on route in training racing. The hardest part is to get the birds healthy in the first place with 400 loft entries with every bug under the sun coming in its a challenge. We thought 1loft racing was easy we thought wrong. Its was our 2nd year and we thought we had done well. Regards Jeremy R.P.R.A Loft Manager
