  1. By this time tomorrow one of those LPW RJs will be sitting in a cardboard box in my hotel room ;D ;D ;D
  2. Loads of them at the show, all shapes and sizes. My Mrs calls the lynx a "chicken" and you hear a "woompth" "woompth" when it takes to the air ;D ;D ;D
  3. They are out and out sprinters and supposedly ideal for racing inland down the leg(80 - 160 miles) - a few club members have them and have done well with YB. Grizzle sells and have been bred for this colour because it does, LPW will no doubt have "miscoloured" ie blues(same way bred) for sale on their stand as opposed to white/black grizzle ones in the auction. Not unlike the situation with Staff Van Reets - red hens sell blue ones move out slower!!!!
  4. Will be on lookout for a polish lynx. Got one on a Sunday morning, it was flying out on the Monday!!!!! Wife accidentally let it out Sunday afternoon, spent Sunday night on roof came in for grub Monday afternoon!!! Have not kept it in since ;D- like a hercules flying with spitfires!!!!
  5. What lines do you have and what was the source!! Thanks SL for opening price
  6. I would be curious myself - starting bid has not,I think, been published which is why I will visit the LPW sale.
  7. Late Eddie Wright Sale - De16 and Iron man lines.

    RPRA 1 LOFT

Looks like it will have to be the Somerset 1 Loft for me
  9. Ditto - hope to have unpacked and at Louella auction!!

    How do you ring?

Upside down on left leg - you will earn thanks from most right handed markers!!!!!!!!
  11. Got to be the Louella sales - they are fiercely protective of their reputation and having attended dozens of their sales never had any doubts when I raised my hand.
  12. I have been going to show for 10+ years and have "pigeon" souvenoirs from most years in the loft - last longer than a stick of rock!!! It is a great opportunity to stock up on items for the current year. That said it has contracted a bit each time and the town itself is bleak without the kiss me quick hats and other tourist tat covering up the tatty paintwork. Took us 3 attempts to find a half decent B & B, first 2 were run by rejects from the Basil Fawlty Hotel Management Course who went on to take advice from the Villabella, Margate ;D That said it is going to take more than a bit of snow to stop me going this year!!!!
  13. LPW auction lists are on their site as is Premier Studs.

  17. Just to confirm these birds will be available for pickup/payment at Blackpool?
  18. I do think sellers should state at the outset the reason behind the sale and whether the birds are recent purchases or they have had them for some time(with what result). I personally dont care if they are a recent purchase and the seller is selling some YBs to offset purchase costs. What amuses me is when sale details are vague and someone questions the seller - invariably this kicks off a rumpus when his mates step in to defend his honour ;D ;D ;D
  19. Lot 10 £20.00
  20. This sport/hobby is what you want to make of it - for me it is about watching the birds out flying and hoping for a good one from Pau/Barcelona and getting up pre dawn on a warm summer morning mug of tea in hand with bacon butty!!. For others it will be card collecting and for some the hope that results will end up with commercial success. No different to other pastimes.
  21. Available from bus drivers is a day rider ticket which costs 3.95 and is dead handy if you are not located within walking distance of the Tower and want to transport items back to hotel or travel about visiting auctions.

  24. Make a list of what you want to stock up on and do a couple of circuits of the show before buying. Dont buy 24 mineral blocks as soon as you walk in the door!!!!!! ;D
  25. I suppose it is what you set you cap at - if you are a sprint enthusiast living in a hotbed of sprint races you will need ETS to compete. If you are a channel man and enjoy being up at first light on a summers day waiting for a bird the STB/T3 will do!!!!!!!!
