  1. Im'e using Bucktons Enhance which is or has Nucleotides and is fed at a rate of 4% to the corn, i feed it as an extra mixing 2 parts Homoform, 2 parts Versalager Egg Food and 1 Part Enhance, my birds love it and the youngsters are thiving.
  2. You have got to set birds up for distance racing, feeding, motivation and fitness all play there part, a mate of mine won 1st UNC bourges a couple of years ago with a Van Reet, a supposed sprint strain. Some birds will do distance some wont.
  3. There Indian Fantails mate.
  4. Read a while ago that the Old Timers, used to put a tray of corn in the oven after the wife had cooked Sunday roast, then fed to the birds, corn may have had a bigger moisture content then. would work well with Barley, home malting.
  5. This might sound callous to some of you, but my own observations have shown that if you let your birds have open hole after a while they become hawk wary, yes you might lose one or two, especialy Y.Bs but after a while the birds get really good at detecting when a hawk is about. I do not have any problems in my area with Perergrines only Sparrowhawks.
  6. Unless some agreement is sorted out between the North Road and South Road Organizations, there will be a great deal of losses due to clashing etc, these Organizations should be prepared to discuss alternate Sat Sun liberations and reach an amicable desision, the only sticking point will be with Holdovers.
  7. Hi Samantha. This is just a personal observation, but if your birds are allowed out, after a while they will become Hawk Aware and losses will be minimal, especially where Sparrow Hawks are concerned, cannot test this theory on peregrines as i am not bothered by them. You will lose a couple in the early stages, but it does work.
  8. Cannot stand a loft without a bit of colour in it, to me a loft full of Blues, Chequers, etc is as boring as hell, like to have a few pieds, chequers and grizzles about. Dont like Deep Keeled birds.
  9. Redcar, Cleveland.
  10. 1/2 to 3/4 Plywood is what you need last you a lifetime and wont warp
  11. What would be the point, F1 hybrids would probably revert to wild type.
  12. Arkangels have had a name change, they are Known as Gimples now, there is a triving club for them in the UK. Try N.P.A website
  13. Dragoons are still going strong, though i dont think there are many Breeders within the U.K
