Hi there,just been told one of our club members has had his old loft blown down by the gales last night in scotland.Does anyone know of a loft for sale in the central belt area?

Chevita do a live vaccine for paratyphoid,got some from Murray and Mills earlier on this year. There is a proper way to use it,1st of all give the birds Parastop or baytril for 14 days at half dose rate,then vaccinate after this.If you dont want to do this you might find that the birds seem to suffer following the vaccination. Steve Patrick mentioned how you do it in his articles in the pigeon press.

Does that not tell you something if fanciers dont want to send to the channel but would like to have more races from 250mls+ if they could get them?The guys on the borders who can race with the UNC + Cumbrian Fed might be able to help provide some details?When you look at the English Midlands for example and the south coast lads, they have plenty to choose from for this type of racing.Especially the MNFC which is getting bigger all time.

Thanks Alf,just wondered as his bird last year had the best vel.of the whole convoy,looks like he's in with a chance of doing the same again this year.The bird that won it last year returned at 8pm with its flights stripped out by a hawk,and she was his 1st choice for the race!Heard he wins the 3Bird Club by 25mins on sat.

He lives in Maddiston,Falkirk,and flys in the North-West Fed,sorry I dont know his distance from Maidstone.
