Hi Guys.Finglas R.P.C.Dublin held its first show today which was very well supported with numbers slightly up on last years opener.Many thanks to the judges Peter Cleary and the lads from Northside pigeon club who also commented on the quality in dept of the pigeons on show.Everybody enjoyed the day and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.The main winners were as follows.

  4. It is with great sadness that i inform the pigeon fancy of the passing today of our great friend

    Willie Wynne.Willie was a member of the Finglas club for many years and while he had many great successes Willies true enjoyment was to see his pigeons arrive home safely,especially from France.He was made an honoury member of our club a couple of years ago.An honour that was well deserved as Willie had held many posts on the committie and even though his illness was taking its toll he was still helping out in the club on marking nights.Willie always enjoyed his trips to the Blackpool show where he loved meeting up with all his old pals.To all Willies Family and friends we send our deepest sympathy.God bless Willie and thanks for the memories.

Congratulations to Breandan Fitzpatrick of Finglas in Dublin on winning his Professional Boxing debut in Dublin on Saturday.Brendan stopped his opponent in the 2nd round.Brendans family are all involved in pigeon racing in Dublin and they would like to thank all the Pigeon Basics members for all the good wishes.M.E.

    Very well done to Derek Cummins whos birds continue in top form this week.Derek had 9 in the top 30 in the club.Excellent flying.The race overall was fairly sticky and some lads had only about half of their entries home at strike-off.As we move into the evening the birds are still making home so there is a good chance returns will improve.Heres hoping.M.E.
