  1. thanks for reply, thats a shame, it was like a smaller version of louella and some nice birds on sale, i understood at the time it was run by a trust fund left by the guy that owned weetabix, looks like the money ran out

  6. lovely looking birds, really like the blue pied van reet and the red pied, hope you breed some nice youngsters
  7. we learnt over a long period of time, you can spend hundreds at top lofts, it wont buy success,some had hundreds of birds but probally only 6/7 cocks doing all the winning try to buy from someone packing up or a few youngsters off a successful fancier. Give them time and dont buy birds from all over the place, aim to create a family that is suited to the distance you want to fly

  9. cocks usually easier than hens, once they breed at your loft they usually give up going back eventually
  10. we tried these years back, got some from a graham mussel in hereford, beatifull blacks and bronzes but never any good, my dad raced these in the sixties, surely long gone now
