thanks peter yes as you see it had been treated with something when built and I have been told that is the problem he has not let it dry out, so its not opening and closing as it should be , every joint in my loft lets rain in , think there is a post on this saying the same he has used the wood while still wet, he doesnt think there is much you can do about it now,
-
I think its shocking , this has been going on for weeks now and still not fixed dont think its normal to have water coming through the boards, never heard of it all my life it has had 4 coats of Ronseal one coat gives protection for 2 years, I think i will get in touch with them and see what they say,
-
but were you getting rain coming through all the joints,
-
someone else saw the hut and said the problem was the nails, surely it cant be normal for the boards to open and close and let water run through them, i have had huts shacks and god knows what but never had this problem,

its had 4 coats of Ronseal one coat, which protects fences and sheds for up to 2 years, as on the tin, I gave it 2 coats but didnt work Alex gave it 2 coats and still water coming through the joints, when the loft was put up it had a coat of something on it but this was eventually washed off , if you look at the photos in post 1 and 56 you will see the colour of whatever was on it

Name = Les Jenkins Email = lesjenkins279@gmail.com Message = A tagged pigeon has been in our garden for a number of days . We fed it and gave it sugar water as per an update from the Royal Pigeon Society. It now is flying again but showing no inclination to leave . We have stopped feeding it now but would like to know of any Pigeon Fanciers in the Nuneaton area who would be able to collect it and hopefully return it to it's owner. Reply? = Email me back

got the paint loft got 2 coats by Alex, but afraid its still not working, joints opening up etc , so really thinking about packing it in, was hoping to start with old birds but didnt get the loft finished on time then set on young birds but not like it, this has been going on for too long , Alex is on holiday for 2 week so says he cant do anything for 2-3 weeks, he is admitting above its been a bad product and wont be dealing with that company again ,thats not helping me, I thought i had nothing to do but put up money for a new loft etc and all would be fine, but there you go, put up some pics of the joints click to enlarge

I once heard on a pigeon video that the best thing for collecting the white bloom that floats around in the loft from the birds was plastic windows, I got a lot of windows (plastic) in my new loft and its like a magnet, collect the bloom, I hoover clean them at least 2 times a day, so think it does stop it floating around in the loft a bit, probably more members have plastic windows , what is your views ,

Name = Peter Thomas Email = globalaircargo747f@gmail.com Message = Dear Sir, We have found a racing Pigeon at Boyton just above Marshes on the River Alde Suffolk near Hollesley. Walking around in a field next to our stables, we supplied some grain and water and open stables to allow shelter but found him dead this morning, no sign of damage. His ring numbers are BE 15 4183396, other ring rubber is 7149, we wondered whether he has flown in from Belgium. I would be interested to find out where from and where he was heading.Kind regardsPeter Th Reply? = Email me back
