yes and mine to, i think we are on different times ,i was talking about when the clocks first came out and the time differences were worked out by 3 different clubs, i can see now you are talking about the present president, i was not on the council during his time, so new nothing about his proposals, my apologies.
  6. dont know rose but its not allowed, when racing you have to wing stamp and if you want to put any of them in the national you must rub it off, the best way is put address rings on then you can take them off for the national

you see this is where yous posts go all out, rolands time thing has never been mentioned by me, what my posts are about was you stated that it was a past shu president who proposed a time limit, i said it was members who in the shu made the time limits not the president, you just change things to try and correct your own wrongs, as said i have never mentiond anything about roland or his time limits, once more if you cant read posts dont try and get involved

yes and let them read yours, i never said the secretary sent out a letter without the president knowing, and to give you a wee bit education what you obviously dont have its the secretaries who send out mail etc not the presidents, so if its possible and you want to disscuss something get it right and read the post, if thats possible by you.
  9. its the same here rose the shu has a rule birds must be wing stamped but the snfc does not allow birds to be wing stamped.

that's not what you were on about, you said the president proposed the time limit, i said it was members who were given ets clocks to work out what the difference was, regarding letters if they were sent out it would be the outcome of the members who did the tests findings not the presidents, and if letters were sent out it would not be the president that would send them it would be the secretary.

this was done by 3 clubs and the difference was put by them, u are talking nonsense, and i am sure someone else on the forum must know this, i know because i was on the council at the time ok,

the time put to the shu for the difference between timing by ets and conventional clocks was not by the shu president, about 3 different clubs put this to the test and came up with the difference and this was put to the council, and it was never put into action because where would u stop having allowances, as there is a difference using stall traps so would they have to be giving time as well, would two people timing in have to give time to one timing in, no where would it end
  13. if ur governing body say's birds must be wing stamped if they are not they should not be allowed to race
  14. yes could be, if in a race u put the runners back to back at the starting point and said go the ones facing the wrong direction must be at a disadfantage surely,
  15. i think this would only happen if it was a strong wind, how many times do you see birds coming out of a transporter and going any other way than straight ahead, i see ur point if the wind was strong enough to do as you say,
  16. YES BUT THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE TAMMY, AS IF ONE SIDE IS FACING NORTH AND THE OTHER SOUTH, HOW FAR DOWS THE BIRDS COMING OUT THE SOUTH SIDE GO BEFORE GETTING ON THEIR FLIGHT NORTH, WE KNOW BIRDS SIRCLE YES BUT NOT AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT OF THE TRANSPORTER,
  17. lost those 2 youngsters from the loft,
  18. the transporter should be facing the way the birds are going to home ie: if they will be flying north the transporter should be facing north so birds are coming from both sides and no side facing north as this could be an advantage to the birds coming out the side facing homeward bound, as the others would be going in the other direction for so far,
  19. got 10 out of 12, from otterburn.
  20. that's the way m8, keep up the good work,
  21. as yearlings with their first nest they should not be hard to brake to ure new loft, will they still have a loft to go to at ur old place when breaking, at the new place make sure they get plenty view before letting out, a wire cage on top of the loft, [/td]
  22. watch if u give them garlic close to basketing, garlic makes u dry, also birds wont drink early morning, unless its after a feed, a bird will drink if its thirsty, i remember been told once that if birds get a good drink before basketing, when water is put before them before lib, ie early morning, they are not ready for a drink, so may have to go down, but if a bird does not have a drink before basketing, it will need one early morning and go for one before lib,
  23. Fife Fed still waiting at Otterburn
  24. all the best then m8
