  1. newbury is a sprint for some fanciers ,to me in central scotland its 334 i think  ive put the same blue hen the last 3 years getting 123,166 and 234 open newbury, ive had a few good men in front of me and all the best to them all but we still need the inland national it gets birds fitter for the longer races 400+ some one is got to win the newbury race whether it be a sprint or long distance bird they deserve it

  2. when i wanted to move my birds from my mums to my own house, i thought that i would have problems, but within 6 weeks my neighbour that had very serious doughts about pigeons had changed his mind, on asking why he said that he could not belive that someone could have so much control over his birds, and that was 3 years ago and he would still say the same today .[cant beat the good old whistle it works wonders] just shows you if you try things can turn in your favour

  3.

will you take the jab for swine flu?..or will you leave it up to fresh air clean water and tlc?..

adeno virus is called because thats what it is...a virus. fresh air dont cure nowt! nor does fresh water..medication cures viruses...ask your doctor! ask your vet! ask anyone who has been very ill recently with a virus and ask wether they think fresh air and water would have cured them. :)

dont need the swine flue jab as us scotts are a bit special, but the birds just need no antibiotics the more you give the more damage you do , better the devil you know mate

  4. hi all  my birds have been ok until i got to the 12 mile mark then they were hit by the hawk on their 2nd toss gave them 3 more then they all went sick [green droppings holding food in their crops ] i thought they were done for , starved the little buggers for a day a little lite feed and you would never know that they were ill ,so fresh air ,clean water ,tlc do help, traing now 25 miles cross my fingers racing next week

  5. same poster would have us believe pigeon flew 700 mles over water to norway.                                                                                                                              I take it that johno doubts bruno had a pigeon reported in  norway being in the same club i can assure him he did the bird landed on an oilrig it was taken to the mainland and was due to be picked up by a fellow club member when scotland were playing norway, but alas it now lives a happy life in its new home

  6. the bird was in good condition  when it came home apart for the feathers they were well frayed ,treated her with a 3 in 1 kept her away from the rest of the birds for 7 days now she,s out flying back to normal , now comes the question do you give her a chance or in the bin

  7. i suppose everyone has had a bird come home like this, lost as a youngbird on its 3rd race otterburn 84 miles then decides to come home 9 months later its been living rough ,but what makes it get up and go after all that time ,it was reared late febuary so was only 5months old when it was lost its been away longer than i had it , i suppose thats racing billy

  8. DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT LIBS OR BIRDS FLYING INTO (FALKIRK) BUT HAVE SEEN ABOUT 15/20 RACE BIRDS CROSSING WHEN I HAD MY YOUNGBIRDS OUT AND THEY LOOKED DONE IN THEY WHERE LANDING ANYWHERE THEY CAN EVEN IN TREES POOR LITTLE SODS
