went to a car boot sale to day picked up a prize card first prize from nannets for a mr a ? taylor we think its a but not sure as card is smudged.the card is from burton north end club.looked in ring list cant find club of that name .would be very intrested to find out any information on this club (is it still going a bit of history about club would be good and any info on mr taylor if poss ) thank you.

what chance have race controlers or convoyers have when weather forcast are so wrong.was going to train to day also train for a old boy who has no transport.but the weather people said it was going to be very wet here.but there not been a drop of rain in a twenty mile radius of me and the clouds are brocken with plenty of sunshine.with the billions of pounds worth of hardware the have floating around space you would have thaught that thay could have got it closer than thay do.and to make matters worse its us as taxpayres who pay for them to get it so wrong.so what chance have a race controler have.

had my first race of the season on sat .had a very good day sent all my cocks (16) won the club by 6mins took second ass well droped one cock witch had never ben to a race in its life.to day sunday let my yb,s out for the first time.25 of them.here i,am 3 hours later looking at 7 babys in the shed. is there any other sport to bring you down to earth as fast.but i still love it

can you keep us posted on how you get on racing to your new loft.as it was over two years before my pigeons started to race like thay did to the old shed.i was told that this was because new wood gives of a gas in the rasin.i would like to find out if this is true so please keep me posted on this or if any one else has had this would be intrested to here from you.

i was shown a very good way to get rid of hawks and none of your neibours would no.try to get hold of a seamless fish tank one thats made of nothing but glass.polish it up so mutch that you think its invisable when you step a way from it.put a bird that you no longer want under it place out side near loft .hawk sees bird but not glass hawk dives at bird hawk hits glass tank has very brocken neck.this was given to me by a game keeper and for a few hours work on polishing tank realy worked for me.

We have a small shoot and last weekend we had 900 pheasant poultsput on the shoot .we have 6 relese pen spread out over the shoot and the lady from defra told me that she could not see any racing from across the channel this year

may i ask those that raced today how was there returns and allso was it good racing as here in south oxfordshire we never saw the sun till 4pm and then only for around a hour.

in the club in witch i race in we have 2 pau nat winners 2 x2nd pau winners a bicc winer fancers who finish regular in the top 50 of classic&nats. this club has 35 members sends upto 600 birds to inland races (300)to channel races.no one domenates the racing .there a willing band of workers and no petty rows.i am very proud to be a member of this club.

eric higgenbottem from sandhurst uesed to race pauwels with great sucsess.iam not 100% sure but i think he may have finished in the 1st 5 of nantes nat with one called the steth cock .this bird allso won the mighty smt combine.also terry lodge from top lofts had the best of these.

a question ask last night at the club during 3 way testing if we cant race this season and/or the pigeons have to be locked up in there lofts how many fanciers will there be when or if we can race again.the answers last night suprised me.

as a follow on from my last posting is it to early to start racing yes wesbury lofts it is a question asked every year .and ill put money on it being asked again next year.iam only a small team flyer my self go to work (on 3 shifts) so have to be care full when i train 10 cocks only and iam not going to throw them away.and no i have no problems with large team flyers as we all know it only takes on pigeon to win a race.

is it just me or does the season start earlyer every year we start racing on the 8/4/06 and thay have not seen the in side of a basket .some are only just chipping eggs.and yes i do fly widdowhood.but not intill the third race at least.

seec ets in action both in holland &belguim.to get over the man clocking a nom bird late in the day the close the race anywere from 20 mins to 90mins aftear the first bird is clocked.depending on the distance of the race.this is for club racing only.if people want ets then good luck to the me very happy with a t3 witch i baught from belguim for a lot less then i can get one from here.
