LOL the bird i picked aint back yet????? what a turn up 8 back out of 10 lol

had a pigeon from a race 2 weeks ago couldnt land in properly legs real swollen! took to a local experienced fancier & he said they might heal? 2 weeks later pigeon is moving about but legs still swollen same as before ring very very tight & no improvement any sugestions. i think he hit a wire, there is movement in his legs, but i feel sorry for him, & think he is best being put out of his misery?? please please any sugestions as this is one of the birds gifted by the late Mickie B.

cheers ben, yes we took it steady, the highest we got was 5th in club, didnt expect for 1 minite we would come first, as most of the club members breed loads & enter loads, and are mostly sprint birds, we have lost a few , but will still have some yearlings for next year, thanks all.

anyone got any good tips or points to do or NOT to do when training birds for the distance? (as in this years youngsters ready for next year) any advice gratefull

whats the longest distance a members bird has flown from a race? & how long did it take? & what strain was it? thanks

all beautiful birds mate, them lahores look great, remind me of a pigeon i saw years ago called an "ICE" i think :-/

would like to nominate young westy 15 yrs old (would adore the chance to win the mickie b trophy) as it was one of mickie b young birds that the late gentleman bred for us that was first back from frome (the come back race) last week, it was this young birds first race & our club was the only club to liberate saturday, in the pouring rain & terrible wind. all club members was very annoid

i put that message on under westys name, as this is what he said to me the other day, since having words & letting him understand that he shouldnt say this, he has changed his point of view, instead of listening to a local 17 yr old who wants him to lose all his good birds by throwing them all into a race & hoping for the best! so i apologise to westy for using his name while he was logged on, but just wanted him to understand that he shouldnt always listen to club members, & to this resulting in losing 9 birds today. me & my son westy are now going for a shandy down the pigeon club. ;D
