With regards to the current Charity Sale here on Basics for the Haematology Ward that cared for my mother in her time of need, I find it very sad that some folks would think that an individual very close to the cause would bid just for the sake of it. quote Because of an unscrupulous allegation on Ghost bidding The Fifer has withdrawn his bids on Lot 17 and will now revert back to the last bidder who I have contacted This lot will now be set at £200 and will run till the end of the sale as usual I can inform the person/persons making such unfounded allegations, that I travelled to Blackpool this year with Fifer, with the intention of attending Wulldons Frans Zwols sale to purchase a pair of Zwols, unfortunately the sale conflicted with the Basics meet up at the Arena, so we were unable to attend. When ever we noticed a Zwols bird for sale on the auction we decided to bid for it! But sadly due to some one who has no facts to back their allegations, Fifer has withdrawn his bids, which sadly means first a foremost the charity is currently £100 worse off, and a man who has done loads along with others on this site has been denied the opportunity to bid for a bird he genuinely wanted. All I can add is that this as far as I am concerned is a sad state of affairs. To ALL the genuine donators and bidders, on behalf of the family THANK YOU
