i think its more like younger birds are novices at feeding than been anything wrong when thay get to two years old you hardly ever see mucky wattles A mate of mine last year had a youngen raceing in the LEEDS mid week the only bird he raced every week feeding a youngen bye its self and its wattles looked like an old streeter but still went on winning cards every week this bird made him the second highest prize money winner from just one bird and for most of that time it had dirty wattles so what can we draw from this I wouldent worry to much if the young are ok yours in sport

hope you dont end up getting it yourself because i did and that's no joke In humans its called citycossose not sure about the spelling in Belgium or Germany its law when a doctor finds this he as to report it and men in white suits turn up to destroy your bird but its not like that hear but the doc took some blood and said its ok its only a virus so went home and suffered 2 days later knock on door its the doc hear take these you have citycossose he gave me 3000 ml grams antibiotic per day a massive dose he said you can die of it SO BE CARFULL

get your birds from one good local flyer try asking other flyers where they would like some birds from if they come up with the same name try there Ask the flyer for his help try to listen and take note And only house half the amount of birds that you have perches keep it simple clean water and good corn if they look ill ask a vet not just blindly treat its cheaper in the long run
