Loved reading the count down to this race last year! Ave put an entry in for a couple myself 70 odd miles but it must be tough, lets hope the snow stays away !! Going to start training a bit more regularly as they are flying very well round the house.

Cracking performance from John McNeil sec d he's took a few top section prizes

After a tough couple of weeks with the birds and not having a lot left (4) for next year was thinking of just calling it a day. but had a phone call from Gary cairns With good advice and a little chat he has invited me down to his lofts to pick up some late bred youngsters that are just coming out of the nest. Also he has said he will breed me a kit of youngsters next year. Just want to say thanks he's a gem of a guy. never see no one down !

Took some youngsters off the old stock ones to start flying bak next year. Had 12 to start with had them all out about 40 miles and training well. Been letting them out the past couple of weeks they have been coming bak shot am down to 5 due to them not surviving. starting to think whats the point! Does anyone no if there are any shotting clubs or areas around Midlothian (Bonnyrigg) ??
