You a quoting a lot of facts relating to the introduction of various species of birds. Tell the RSPB to errect a pigeon loft on the British mainland and lets see how quickly they get pissed off.

The RSPB have been very blinkered for a long time. They are not interested in new members, they only want further funding! They blame the reduction on all wild birds as being soley down to modern farming and are not interested any other opionion, especially if it is pointing the fingure at their beloved Hawk population. The RSPB need to remember that all the public funding they receive throughout the year is for the protection of ALL birds, not just the chosen few.

Derek Nicholls was the auctioneer at the Ed Sitner sale. Ed Sitner was not at the sale, apparently he had business commitments back home in America.

I agree, you should always be looking to improve your stock, but do you realy think he would let them go if they were producing the goods. Lets face it, he has a full page advert in the BHW, he surely needs to keep all the "breeders" to satify all the orders he will be taking.

Page 109 BHW, Advert from John Gerrard stating he is the NO 1 loft for Kees Bosuas out side Bosuas own loft (fact). During the Blackpool weekend, John Gerrard had a sale on the Friday night selling off his older Kees Bosuas stock birds. Then on the Saturday night, the same John Gerrard, was at the Ed Sitner sale bidding on the Kees Bosuas that he was selling. John Gerrard has obviously taken the oportunity to off load his crap whilst trying to invest in what he must think is better quailty. You have got to feel sorry for the poor buggers that bought pigeons at his sale on the Friday night. I don't know John Gerrard, and he may be genuine, however this stinks a bit.
