may he rot in hell

The pigeon has side mounted eyes unlike humans and owls which have forward facing eyes. As a pigeons have monocular vision rather than binocular vision they bob their heads for depth of perception. The pigeon’s eyes work much better with stationary images and therefore, as the pigeon takes a step forward the head is temporarily left behind. The next step jerks the head forward again and so on. This allows the bird to correctly orient itself

Pigeons are considered to be one of the most intelligent birds on the planet with pigeons being able to undertake tasks previously thought to be the sole preserve of humans and primates. The pigeon has also been found to pass the ‘mirror test’ (being able to recognise its reflection in a mirror) and is one of only 6 species, and the only non-mammal, that has this ability. The pigeon can also recognise all 26 letters of the English language as well as being able to conceptualise. In scientific tests pigeons have been found to be able to differentiate between photographs and even differentiate between two different human beings in a photograph when rewarded with food for doing so

Pigeons as lifesavers Although pigeons are one of the most intelligent of all the bird species man has found limited uses for the birds other than for the purposes of sport, food and as a message carrier. A team of navy researchers, however, has found that pigeons can be trained to save human lives at sea with high success rates. Project Sea Hunt has trained a number of pigeons to identify red or yellow life jackets when floating in the water. The pigeons were not only found to be more reliable than humans but they were also many times quicker than humans when it came to spotting survivors from a capsized or sinking boat. The pigeon can see color in the same way that humans do but they can also see ultra-violet, a part of the spectrum that humans cannot see, and this is one of the reasons they are so well adapted to lifesaving.

no need to state what we all know gordon

i am not sure on this but i have been told barry kinnear has a remote controlled eagle own on roof. been told press button and the wings open and flap a bit. if he does it will keep bops well clear of his pigeons it also stop them landing on house roof. i know some of his mates are on hear maybe thay know better

an eagle owl will eat peregrines plus young by day or night. will also eat anything big enough to make a meal of sitting on nest crow sparrow hawk magpie ect ect. as for sea eagles or golden eagles anything up to size of medium roe deer are a fair target including dogs and foxes.golden eagles are know to frighten red deer over cliffs or rock faces. so the eagal owl wins bird of the year for me. you won,t see the rspb spending thousands of pounds reintroducing them back to Scotland like thay did with sea eagles

i don,t want to tell any member that their not in it for one reson or the other. i do like the idea of giving the Jamison's a week. that way i can get 912 out and if it disappears with in the week i could phone john for another 1 . with all that john and his brothers have had to go through in the last week or so. he still remembered to kindly drop of 2 nice yb,s for my son Scott for his 1st year racing as well as dropping off yb for breeder buyer he is a credit to the sport .

thanks for that if it comes to it i will pay you back myself. as i don,t want it to affect the breeder buyer prize fund or the donasion to the Olivia downie appeal no matter how little
-
totally no need for an apology john
-
hear is one of the reasons i changed it . the Jamison brothers sadly lost their mother may she rest in peace . Mrs jamieson's funeral was only a few days ago. was i supposed to bother then at a time like this to get ring numbers for this. or say because of your tragic loss your no longer in the pigeon bacics breeder buyer.so through having a bit respect it would also put myself out as a buyer. ________________________________________________________________________ bobby if you want to withdraw from this that is up to you

both of mine had the day off.as both will be aimed at 1 or 2 of the later races.being on the east coast i hate an east wind

any objections to me changing this please send written objection to ISA RELLSLAPPER 69 ON THE HILL HAMSTERJAM. WE ARE DOING THIS BREEDER BUYER FOR A BIT OF BANTER AND FUN COME YOUNG BIRD SEASON AND TO RAISE A FEW ££££ THIS YEAR FOR THE OLIVA DOWNIE APPEAL. TO SAY JOCK MIC OR TAFF ARE NOT IN IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT GET RING NUMBER IN IN TIME BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH FAMILY OR CAR OR DOG OR KID OR WIFE OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATER IS WRONG.SO RULE IS CHANGED AND WILL STAND.IAN YOU ARE THE BACK BONE ON HEAR AND PUT IN HOURS AND HOURS RUNNING SALE ECT ECT for that myself and i would say most of the members thank you. but to leave any of the members out of this after breeding and buying a yb through a problem getting ring number in WOULD BE TOTALLY WRONG
