i had 36 of them and that was a sight to see as everyone of them tumbled .but then we discovered racing birds so that what we do now.

looking at the map it shows no peregrines near Edinburgh so in my opinion it is a lode of horse sh** as i have one in my neighbourhood.

we train to race for fun falconers train birds to kill for fun not much difference in that.or am i looking through rose tinted glasses

win him over dont think so .that would be like me or you going to listen to them and say your right your bop are not doing that much damage to our birds. as for comments like above win him over yourself. while iam at it why do you think he wants pigeons .the same as the greyhound man wants rabbits i think

just an idea doing that speed might have an effect on blood vessels in the wattle

as soon as it rains i put my yb,s out .as the yb,s will fly the rain does not stop them. just know i have old birds out when the old birds land i let about half the ybs out so old birds are back up in the sky when then birds land again the rest of the yb,s go out back up in the sky . i do not flag birds up as on race day birds are sure to be trap shy. it works for me.plus yb,s bomb about so old birds have to pick up the pace to keep up with them . an easy hour plus flying not glideing about.

yes no doubt you have seen wood pigeon and racers in the same car boot .as a lot of us have had birds back shot we are not saying all birds lost are down to bop .but bop are making a big impact to our race birds . as for poxy peregrines being rare that is bull . i have one that comes round i have only seen it twice in last week and neighbor seen it ones. and yes soon as it takes one of my birds it will be the new target .it might doge my shot or it might not . but with a case of beer on it,s head dead or alive one of the young guys will claim it that's for sure . a few years ago they shot one in my street . one of the old woman in the street told them she was going to phone the police.after the laddies told her what they had shot. she said that,s ok i thought you were shooting the wee birds . not that murdering so and so .yes it is against the law to shoot a bop .most air guns only injure bop but most cant hunt when injured.just like how your bird cant race when a bop has had a go at it

cheers for the info but i am still pisst off.i have been told a peregrines have nest near lib point. i also have one hear seen it twice. neighbor phoned me saturday morning to say she had seen it .their is still a lot of birds missing birds with a lot of experience.

as the fife birds did not race this weekend from wakefield. i am just over the forth from them in midlothian fed.we raced from wakefield sunday .looking at our club returns i think it was a good decision for them to cancel.i have yet to hear of someone that got 100%back from this race. just my opinion

sent 11 got 7 3 out the 4 lost i thought would be my 1st birds back so no winners i got 2nd

at what age can you treat yb,s for worms.

hope the birds have seen out side for a while if so some at lest will be back . i would have put my hens out soon as birds went up .hope you get them back.
