The race is from morpeth about 75 mile give or take a mile it is open to pentland hills midlothian trappain feds .it has been raced for the last 15 years.it is organized by danderhall R.P.C. this race is in some years very hard test for the birds velocity going down to the 500 600 y,p,m it to strong north wind . last year race was won by a young 1st 2nd and 3rd 6 seconds cover all 3 at 2 .09.31 for just over 75 mile.

last year their was £1260 paid in prize money plus annual trophy to winner magnum of champagne bottles of whisky bottle Bacardi plus sacks of pigeon food up for the winning all in their was £6185.00 pools and prize money. is this the most valuable winter race in U.K
