NO not sour grapes at all,all i stated was that the birds into south wales from cardiff down to west wales had little or no chance of a competitive race. dont take nothing away from the winners it was a great performance.not many birds made it on the day into south wales but there were a lot more home into north wales.
-
quite a few birds home on the night but most have turned up this morning, congratulations to those who had them on the night and to the winners,BUT come on what chance did the birds have with rain at least from newbury right through the valleys down to west wales. the birds into north wales definately had a far better chance of winning than anyything down this way.not taking anything away from the winners but to have 35 out of 38 on the night into north wales . Some places had NO chance. the last 3 races with the national have been poor.just my opinion.

apparently the birds escaped from the welsh north transporter,8 in total the rest of the cnvoy went with them before they had time to clear. the lib from the welsh north road transporter was not very good, they release from the bottom and it takes a fare bit of time before it gets to the top birds.

birds split up and are few and far between, steve heke has a cracker in pencoed at 13.21, mal dunn is in at 13 26,birds in cardiff at 13.12.but theres not a lot about. whats this about birds escaping???? true or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

layers pellets contain 16% protein the same as layers mash, the 2 products are the same the pellets are just crushed down more for the young chicks to eat .then you move onto chick crumb and then layers pellets. they are all the same with 16% protein.not as good as g10 s though.

dont know if this is correct but the midlands national were lib at porstsmouth at 9 am.in a north west wind, might have hit them, disaster for me lost the best young bird team i have ver had, absolutely gutted. still 15 missing, one young cock has won 3 firsts and a second,on the fed result every week.

charlie williams probable winner in hirwaun, good pigeons in llanharan payne bros 12 58 mark casley 12 59 oldlum and hopkins 12 59 2 together,a lot of birds mising,my self i took a bloody hammering only 5 from20 and the ones that i did get were the ones that are usually last, 16 positions in the last 4 races and they are all missing, rumours that they hit the midland national birds who were lib at portsmouth at 9 am.

as far as i know it is quite possible that the second ramsgate will be replaced now with the original racepoint of lilliers, wether or not the welsh north road will go there or not is another question, why they didnt go up with all the other welsh feds at epsom no one knows. rumour is that the welsh north road have pulled out of the combine and thats why they lib 10 minutes before the rest of the birds.
-
yes i did get it wrong i did mean west winds, just look at the south road results all the wiiners are in the east, and their racing is no better than ours ,ask them about the midweek race they hads this week with over 50% of the birds missing,we had a very good race today from epsom with good returns.
-
most of the welsh birds are at epsom 135 miles to me,difficult racepoint and time of the year with a lot of north road feds in the area,
-
surely the farest route for us in wales has been the east route, the nationals are evenly spread out with the winners from different sections, turning north would be a backward step, south ok but with the easterly winds the nationals would be dominated by the east section. i know the bird flu has been difficult but its not going to go away.my preferencewould be to stay put until they sort out with defra to treat pigeons seperate from chickens.

dont really want to get into the politics of what is sold on this website, but if there is anyone who has put quality birds on this site and has reduced the prices it has been stuart,i personally bought birds from stuart and they have all been quality, stuart has even gone out of his way to get the birds to me personally, what it all boils down to is that if you want the birds then place a bid,if you dont then dont add to the thred, makes thing s alot easier.

thanks for all of the replies,i have offered them to the first pm that i received this morning, a young lad from shropshire,if he changes his mind will let everyone know. thanks nigel

surely the best route ,equal to everyone has been the south east, the national winners are spread out.they were very rarely spread ouy on the north, this year we have had north section winners west sec winners and east sec winners ,we never had that on the north.as for the sat lib for north and sunday lib for the south that wouldnt work. if the weather was forecast good for sat and bad for the sunday, fanciers would want to race on the sat because they have work on the monday. personally going back north would for me be a backward move, but there again everyone has their views.
