hi sorry having some difficulty in getting pics will, try and get them on tomorrow. it is nothing special it is a 1200x1200 and the same in hight made from plywood to get me started with a young team, an avariy stuck on the front still waiting on my trap coming by post. To see it is nothing as i have made lot better ones for people with shiplap and various desgins inside, but i just wanted somthing simple and easy looked after thats why i went for a simple box . cheers

over my ten plus years off shooting i have never came across a shooter that has down a racer i agree some rock doves and ferals but never a racer. i do know that there is a lot of shooitng companies that bring over boys from italy and such places and i do know that they will shoot at most things that move in the air and on the ground which is a big no no. hard topic as there will be a lot for the shooting and a lot not for it. i have just started to race now and find it more fun in a way cheers :) :)

i have got an avairy on the front will give that a try cheers

it is a sport as well as a vital part of farming. People that shoot know the diference between a woodie and a racer. the white bars and size give it away plus the woodies fly a bit different to racers. Ammunition costs a lot so a shot is not a shot it is thought out and there is no trigger happy times as you would go bust quite fast

Hi just finished biulding my first loft and get my young birds on thursday. How long to i keep them inside and when do i let them out for there first fly arould? And how do they know to come into the bob wires???
-
I am a joiner and have just finished building a rabbit hutch/bee hive design, and it can take about 12 - 15 birds which i get on thursday. Not a lot o birds but good enough to get me started with. maybe a local joiner can make you on if you give him/her drawings of what you require as i have made a few lofts in the past for people,

Racing from a DOVE COTE

I have built a cage type desgin box, next to the cote at feeding time i put the food in and the birds fly in through the bobs. i think this is my only and best way to trap them. Why would i have an empty cote fast ?? -
Hi i have a dove cote in my back garden, which has two young white racers and a red and blue, pigeons in it, My question is would i be able to race them from the dove cote? I am limited to very tight space in my garden and this is all i have. I would love to get a loft but for now it is not possible to get one. All advice would be good cheers
