Thought i would put some pics o my YB team ,

I have just started this year and the biggest problem i fould and still am finding it a problem and that is getting somewhere to put my loft, not got a big garden. If new people do want to come into this sport this may play a part in them giving up a the first hurdle??

I think it is the generations that now follow on are not that fussed in much hobbie's. I said to a mates son if he fanced in starting up i had and old shed i could give to him, and some stuff to start him up. You can make a traditional dutch barn roof at the front and have a sloping hip roof at the back, using some lose timber.

In general what should i be giving my young birds to keep them healthy and get a good start to the racing season . Any medicine to protect they from illness ?????

Hi i have just been reading about different breeds and pedigrees, i got my YB off a mate for free and not a clue what line or breed they are from . Will this effect them racing and should i be worried about this ???

Hi dave i did get them all in last night once one went in they all went in, was chuffed when it happend. Cut their food down a bit to as i think i was feeding them to much cheers for the help

I see i have only let them out twice and they stay close to the house, they only fly in a pair or single

ok. do i need to put them in a basket and let them go to the loft so they get use to the basket??

oncemy young birds are coming back into the loft, what is the next step in the training. should i take them a bit away ??? : :

ok so the message is cut the food down per bird. Already lost one on the first day i got it, put them into the loft and that one got out in the roof tryed to get it in for two days now it has gone.

Hi let my YB out for the first time today, try to let them out for 1 hour but when i went to get them in they all just went on the house roof and wont come into the loft. how do i get them in????? My head is in bits wi trying to get them in the loft :'( :'( :'( :'(

cheers dave will give that a go and see what happens. just worried they will fly away, but have to let them out at some point. cheers
