pigeons have always been called every name under the sun. has anyone ever put are case foward i would say no, its about time we had a press officer as in my opinion i think pigeon people do alot for good causes and its about time we blew our own trumpet.

who cares what any body else thinks as long as you enjoy your hobby you have to forgive ignorent people who know nothing about pigeon racing.

hello rose, you say get yourself some decent birds if your starting up now days its a minefield so many pills and potions its a wonder half the birds dont rattle with the things people give them.

its a homing pigeon north south east or west still got to get home. it seems to me people have a lack of faith in there birds. A good pigeon should come from anywhere. if the north road is full there is no reason why the south road transporter could not follow the south road fed lorrry up to lib point.

they say lock your birds up inside i cant see how that can stop as air gets in everywhere or am i missing something,

on last years race programme you had land races before you crossed the channel. i know my father in law flew exeter seaton plymouth. i know its not ideal but any form of racing will do until the bird flu is solved. is it really worth breeding loads of youngsters with the future of uncertain at the mo.

cherbourg is about 116 to my father in laws house whhich is just outside southampton

the futherest you can can from pompey is south west plymouth cornwall way.

if it comes to the worst, if you fly in a small club why cant you have a club race from say 100 miles surely its better than nothing.

can someone tell me the differnce betwwen a 150 mile land race south and north wheather you live up north or in the south the land is still the same? or am i missing something. i was always led to believe a good pigeon will come from anywhere. good luck mark

perhaps you could race north up to 250 miles its takes a good pigeon to get out of thurso 530miles. the only problem i could see is there would be alot of bids in the sky on a saturday afternoon perhaps you could split the liberations sat and sunday.

the way things are going it might be worth cutting down on breeding young birds this year. living down south the only distance racing you will get is to fly the north road until things change concerning bird flu,

i had a pigeon won 6 races topped the fed on the north road i took him to the local eye sign show judge told me he had a week eye and was no good. i just smiled last eyesign i went to.

i used to race dave but now i have a greyhound that races at poole my daughter is very intrested in starting up but its the cost and the way young birds get lost it must be very disheartning being young and losing birds

nobodys sends they will have to address the problem fanciers should not be hit in the pocket just because you cant race over the channel for the time being
