Yes 100%,,, but when the answers are clearly stated in the initial statement, well theirs only so many times one can repeat himself without getting a little snappy.,,, majority I’m convinced will vote for a better future , both in racing and financial terms
-
Let’s break it down as easy as possible for you Danny Their will be a vote like always,,,3 choices 1. Go alone all season ( as was done in past ) 2. Convoy with SNFC ( as was done in past ) 3. Convoy with WRC ( the future) Raise your hand for number 3 and all the above can happen. I think we can achieve 80% for number 3 no problem As over 60% of LRPF are not national members
-
( again I stress this is a guide line ,,,I.e dates and race points are not set in stone, also no one will lose their identity as Federations) From the above Andy. It’s a template to get it out their so lads can digest it before I visit the clubs, that way a lot of the issues are ironed out, and it’s just a tweak here and there before submitting the final draft proposal. Glad to hear your onboard with the concept

Nope just one guy that clearly can’t read... 3 old birds 1 young birds For the 3rd time Below In 2020 we will be looking at establishing a Brand New Racing Club. The West Region Combine ( W.R.C) Before going into details of our plans, This clubs Foundation will live or die by firstly the vote of the LRPF members at their 2020 AGM, all the below will be proposed , If members vote To convoy as the WRC for these races ,,this is what we would be looking at creating........ ( again I stress this is a guide line ,,,I.e dates and race points are not set in stone, also no one will lose their identity as Federations) THE W.R.C Open to all lofts Currently situated in the boundaries of West Region of either SNFC or SNRPC Will consist of 3/4 inland old bird races 1 Young bird race (These boundaries have been in place for decades, yes their will be some that want XYZ inc, but to get this off the ground we must build on what is already their) Transportation will be that of LRPF, unless over 8000 Birds where alternative Geraldy transport will be added. The W.R.C will be Controlled by the LRPF Race Control team. ( In essence it will run exactly like the Lanarkshire Social Circle has done successfully for Decades ) Central Marking will take place in EUROFAB Factory for the WRC races, Situated in Newhouse industrial estate, directly off the M8 Motorway Which provides a Dry , Clean environment and cover for over 500 plus fanciers their birds, Toilet facilities and Also will adequate car parking for Fanciers. With Transporter being loaded undercover infront of the members,,as the birds are marked and watered. Also gives us flexibility in terms of basketing times. ( the Use of this factory will be donated by the Macaloney Family) The WRC will race under SHU rules ( those who are not SHU members can simply, apply) If all Federations within the Region Get on board The WRC will consist of 3 sections Lanarkshire ( any south Lanarkshire members who wish to join the WRC will be inc in this section) Glasgow Ayrshire TheFederation boundary’s are already in place for each of the WRC Sections,,,any West Region member that is not in any of these Federations will be placed in the Section nearest his or her location for the Combine result. ( these Feds will be obviously urged to vote also to convoy with the WRC insuring we are all together) The WRC Open result will consist of the fastest 50 birds from each Section Thus giving a fair display across the Combine. we are looking at Each Section having the same prize money for the 1,2,3 places 1st £250 2nd £150 3rd £100 A £5 NOM will be in place across the WRC Open result No limit on the amount of birds that can be NOMINATED. ( 75% will go to the winners of the First NOM bird ) ( 25% will be retained by the Club to help with running costs) A £10 Loft pool will also be available for those wishing to enter. Again paid out in a 75% -25% (We would encourage that the competing Federations also have their own Open race on these days, as they have done in the past, thus providing alternative pools for their members, again the above is guide lines of what we could have. ) Presentation Night ( free ) Seasons 4/5 race Winners - 4/5 major Trophies that will be the future Historical Refs for the club 12 Section winners - Medals WRC ACE Birds Awards worked on points system, a Top 10 will issued ( each Section 50 points for 1st, 1 point for 50th etc) Most points wins, and so on, listed 1-10 Depending on running costs the ACE bird will the most prestigious prize in the WRC receiving in the regions of £1000. Insuring the Multi Performance birds get true accolades. Extra Funding. An Annual sale will be held , containing Birds from the best lofts in Europe to boost funds. Sponsorship will also be raised from various Feed companies and local businesses and Businessmen. Facebook Live,, Gone are the days of £1.50 to call a lib line, The WRC Facebook page will run live on Race Days , with members only pass ,allowing fanciers the option to record their first birds times as the race unfolds. The Facebook Page will also deliver winning Results, reports,,updates,,lost birds etc. Costs -£0,,, Only effort and time needed. So What are We creating? A footprint for the future of inland racing into the west of Scotland, with the flexibility to insure our birds have the best available care, transport and chance of performing at the highest possible level, be that in the WRC races or as prep for future Channel Races. Our Goal is simple to deliver Quality Inland Racing with a superb Competition, with all the convoy heading to the The same Area of Scotland, Racing in a competitive Open result, within your own environment,, with safety in numbers, But most importantly also insuring the Future of the sport. First draft, of what we are looking a proposing for 2020. ( remember distance you fly isn’t always what everyone flys their will always be a longest and shortest flier, we must take every loft in The Region into account) Proposed LRPF 2020 program 11th April - Kelso 64 miles 18th April - Kelso 64 miles 25th April - Hexham 97 miles 2nd May - Ripon 157 miles 9th May - Ripon 157 miles 16th May - Wetherby 170 miles 23rd May - WRC Worksop 210 - 235 miles 30th May - Ripon 157 miles 6th June - WRC NewMarket 300 - 325 miles 13th June - Kelso 64 miles 20th June - WRC Chelmsford 340- 365 miles 27th June - Kelso 64 miles 4th July - Ypres 450 miles ( Feds would vote as always to either go with SNFC or on their own as previous years The WRC has no interest in Channel Racing, it’s sole purpose is to deliver quality inland racing and competition to the West Region ) Young Bird 2020 Kelso - 64 miles Kelso - 64 miles Hexham - 97 miles Ripon - 157 miles Ripon - 157 miles Wetherby - W.R C. 170mile - 190 miles In 2020 any start up or running costs of the WRC will be funded by Macaloney Pigeons. Their after everything going to plan the organisation should be hopefully self Funding, running as close to non profit as possible, basically covering overheads, giving everything back to its members, also insuring Great inland Racing for years to come. Why Now, why have we got involved ? Let’s not try and pull the wool over any ones eyes, at some point all the above organisations will have to amalgamate, purely due to fall in membership, why not do it now, while we can and try and breath some life back into the sport. In the past it’s no secret that between our partnership we have all ran successful businesses throughout the years, which involved running an organisation and delivering on our promises. I personally see it as our way of giving back to the sport that has given us so much enjoyment for 4 generations, but also trying to improve our own Quality of racing. After the last race of 2019 , this letter will be issued to all clubs and Feds with in the region, I would personally also like to visit all clubs in my own Federation to hear any issues,,suggestions or fears.. to sum up this club for me provides and Umbrella as such for all the feds to come together, taking all politics and personal issues out of the equation and fingers crossed providing what we should all want, a better quality of racing into the West Region. Yours in sport Paul Macaloney

Appreciated. Nothing comes together over night and it’s gonna take the members to get to the meeting and vote for the better of the sport. This movement means their is no losers in the West Region, every member of each Federation will benefit. Hopefully we get some great racing.
-
Nope, wrong again, you will need your club hut for the other 14 or 15 races per season,, just like what’s been done with Snfc for the last 4 decades.
-
As stated in the above post,, which I have repeatedly shared if you care to read Lanarkshire will transport the WRC,,just like they transport the LSC,, hence they out of all the Federations benefit more than anyone financially The others have the opportunity now to transport and be part of the WRC instead of losing money convoying themselves or convoying with the SNFC. Hence everyone’s a winner. The WRC will run as close to Non Profit as possible , covering its over heads in the future, which are very little, prize money, presentation. I know Your determined to find faults , but trust me it’s bomb proof , Everyone in the region together Feds not losing money at longer races. Fed making more than ever financially. All racing into the one area, improving the line for later races. Superb prize money. Superb competition. Superb Trophies and ACE pigeon awards Superb transport. Superb And Flexible Marking station And above all,,,,,,,,fingers crossed,,superb Inland Racing Mic,,, Drop

Key members of each federation have been approached as it’s the feeling out stage , which I’m delighted with the feedback, which allows us to amend certain points and issues,, to insure the best possible proposal into Lanarkshire, then if approved all Federations have the ability to follow suit. We need to rid this Us and them attitude, in the coming years this will have to happen,, to survive, ,,,that’s every Fed,,,,,let’s do it now and enjoy the next decade together for A handful of races,,,They Key issue of est a new Club which everyone in the region can join, is to take politics and grudges out of the equation. It also allows non Federation members of the 3, to also take part. Trust me everything will be in place for this to go, all we need is common sense to prevail See yous after the Yb season , Safe Racing Paul Mac

Yip, like u said 5 weeks ago, when u were called , that you wouldn’t be doing the convoying when I asked you to get on board. “ you had, had enough†I said sad to hear that , great old bird season. You have your opinions, entitled to them, again the majority will decide

All the LRPF higher arch were informed 5 weeks ago,, all were very much supportive and on board í ½í¸‰

Derek as you know it’s been 5/6 years maybe more in the making,, imo the talking is done, let’s get together and get it done. Their is not a fancier that it shouldn’t suit,,if serious about racing.. inland guys are getting great competition, safety in numbers,, in a true Open result Channel lads are getting great prep for 500 mile races, I honestly believe with all the birds consistently heading in to the west Region the West Region National guys will Benefit 10fold In their desired races
-
Of course that will continue for Lanarkshire Members who are using the transporter all year round. That’s £1per fanciers entry,, as all the LRPF members know already and have agreed on. Costs is simple, bottom line It’s going to be cheaper, better transportation , all Members together, equal prize and positions.

Alot of Positive movement on the WRC front... in the last 24hours we have established 3 marking stations New house Ayrshire Glasgow Again a show of commitment and working together. So what's people's thoughts on the WRC as a whole, any gripes, issues or fears??? All input is welcome, what we want is as good an organisation as possible.. Birdage Fees have yet to be discussed, but I can a sure fanciers , it will be the same if not a lot less than your Inland Nationals Guaranteed.
-
Pleased to say we have had 90% positive feedback so far, as always the members vote with be crucial in moving forward, In the off season I will be visiting all clubs to have discussions and suggestions or concerns to assure the best possible proposal for the W.R.C Safe racing till then ðŸ‘

THE W.R.C Open to all lofts Currently situated in the boundaries of West Region of either SNFC or SNRPC

Mine mate Call 07793412096 cheers

Hi Joe, For me we already have 2 Nationals heading across the channel, that in itself is madness, Distance Racing is what these organisations were set up for, that’s what they should take care of,,, It’s 3/4 WRC Inland old birds races and 1 Yb race,,, Lanarkshire Federation historically always vote wether the channel race in the Fed programme is with or without SNFC,,
