  1. What a joke, like it isn't hard enough already sometimes to track down the owner of a stray. :emoticon-0179-headbang:

There needs to be an online database where people can type in the ring number and get the owners contact number direct. Because of data protection those in the database would probably need to, "opt in". Also not fair or right the club secretaries are currently always in the middle, like there not busy enough already.

  2. I wonder if drones could be used and to what effect they would have on the birds (if any). I know they use them for filming all sorts of things these days and apparently they can do 50-60mph+ also they have the benefit of being able to stream live footage. Wouldn’t be cost effective on small club races but I’m sure it would on the Nationals and larger races.

  3. It’s a shame the rings have to be removed and connected to the computer. If they could be tracked when not connected to the computer worst case scenario a lot of nesting sites would be exposed and we could help feed those poor hungry birds :drinking-coffee-200:

  4. One guy saying something doesn’t mean the whole club is against it or collectively share his thoughts. Don’t assume one mans words are the thoughts of the whole club. Every club has its own know it all (most clubs even have a couple) 😂. Do your thing mate and listen to people who you deem worth listening to. Don’t listen to those who want you to listen to them, or they’ll fill your head with sh**. 😂

  5. I’ve done it myself before, not that late but an afternoon toss and had a shocker. TonyC on here was the one who drilled it into me that early morning tosses are key with youngens. They will make mistakes and you gotta give them the best opportunity to get back.

  6. Why lib them so late on a first toss? You gave them a very small window of daylight to work back if they got lost or were full of flying and overshot. A nice early lib at least they have the time and opportunity to work back the same day.

  7. Another another example of government and multi national companies teaming up and creating an issue that they can use to justify taking more money from the average mans pocket.

Take a look at all this crap about climate change and car omissions causing it - we're not allowed to drive diesel's in the next few years apparently because they give off so much bad fumes. Yet in the same breath they are saying the launch of space rockets will increase by up to 100% over the next 10 years across the UK. So old average Joe in his diesel work van is a problem, but the launch of rockets literally blasting through the atmosphere and destroying all the ozone around them is fine.

Makes me sick they can say what they like, make laws to suit their needs and to make people believe it and its always a false agenda all about the cold hard cash being syphoned off into their pockets.
