  1. Hiya mate, it is a not a case of which is the best system its the compatability and the knowledge of the systems used within your own club. We use the tipes system and have found it very simple to set and knockoff the races on the Bricon master, the unikon master and indeed on its own tipes master. The system can run 32 x 4 field pads withought boosting. Your best direction will be given I feel by the ets setters in your club as knowledge is gained on compatability and usage. Tipes is £295 with clock ,lead and 2field pads I believe it to be good value and v.v.compatable.
  2. Stalybridge clear and calm a little overcast....nr manchester
  3. you strike off ETS ??? I think the variance is in your manual clock strike .......you can strike off your manual clocks to the clock on your master ets as it is synchronised with TIM automatically.
  4. In the case of tipes/tauris once clocked and the ets taken to the club its plugged into the master, the tipes /tauris hand set displays the time on itself for printing , the unikon has the pocket clock(memory stick) plugged into the master and its info downloaded via the display on the master station. If there was a variance on the tipes/tauris you would see it on the clock but you couldn't see it on the unikon pocket clock.....in any case the master just prints the info. :-/ I have never seen a variance on any of these systems to date........maybe I'm missing something .....once synchronised with the atomic clock can the system vary?? Maybe someone who reads this knows technically how to clear this one up......I am but a humble fancier trying to do the right thing regards 3 way testing.... :-/
  5. Good statements and clarifications in the last reply ..thx .If you have to 3 way test the ets its like 3 way testing TIM as the atomic clock drives the systems
  6. Once set at the club by the master the tipes does not energise again until plugged in for race....it has an atomic clock which is synchronised with the master and has no variance........is it a 3 way test(which checks for variance in time) or just a functionality check?......all seems futile as if an ets gained 10 seconds it would probably be thrown out.......unless their is a problem with greenichs atomic clock it has to be a dead clock once synchronised........doesn't it????
  7. Why and how do you 3 way test an ets clock? If the clock is set via the club system atomic clock there is never a variance as the time after the race on your ets is the time you record.

  15. The young bird last year weaned okay .....but had difficulty orientating in flight.Hopefully this years squeaker will be a bit better.Just curious though if anyone has had this themselves? When the bird first hatched it was completely naked(no down) and local flyers of repute said it would be a silver......we were all curious when red eyes opened 6 days later.
