PIGEON SU08F1083 cannot make out stamp on pigeon ,anyone know who it belongs too

i always use what i can get on end of a matchstick, thats enough to colour the water ,

this was mentioned years ago about members selling strays to him to hold other fanciers to ransome for monies to claim there birds back.because fanciers couldnt be bothered to report strays .there was also two ladies used to have a stray centre running along the same lines ,if they got your bird it was £5.00 to release ,if none payment suspension .and the rpra where always backing them.

got to agee there mick,some are so thick its all they understand ,then they get the message ,

sadly this happened to me years ago ,came home from work all my birds gone even took me corn rings etc ,took me two weeks to find me birds ,without evidence the birds belong to you ,its hard to prove there yours ,i would have killed the git if i had got him ,his dad tried telling me they all entered his loft the night before ,had me in stitches then i just kicked the door off his loft and let them all out ,then knocked his dad out. but sadly he had removed most of the rings from me birds . but he never tried to pinch them again but sadly now the law takes a different view to violence,

sorry but the answer to killing clubs ,i believe over the last thirty years more damaged has been done by fanciers who cannot rise to the challenge and want prizes for sending there birds want prizes shared around members if they put the effort in or not ,is that not killing membership its like a fair days pay for a fairs day work ,some get promoted some do not thats life ,thats what makes olympic winners dedication and hard work same in any hobby or sport ,i do not see the premier league asking alex ferguson to stop winning matches because no one can beat them sorry not a man united fan) but you got to admire the man he makes winners like him or not . so what you are saying is if he takes the top six in the club ,members leave in droves because they do not have the disire or knowledge to beat the man . THATS PIGEON RACING AT ITS BEST SPORTSMANSHIP I THINK THEY CALL IT .

tell me why if he had clocked all six birds is he risking the club ,tells me this lad as put time effort into bringing the best out of his pigeons to gain such success,which is only recognised by winnig the top two in the federation and not the top six which in anyones book is a fantastic result .thats the trouble many fanciers in clubs gain posistions they would never get by restraints on how many prizes can be claimed ,ive seen many fanciers selling birds with positions they would never have won week in week out without restraints on prizes gained but i bet these same fanciers dont tell the prospective buyers of these birds there birds would not have gained that prize if so and so had clocked all his birds . sorry but if a fancier beats me i try harder the week after ,

outstanding flying ,well done great flying by anyones standards but i bet you didnt get the six birds by luck ,sheer dedication and hard work will have brought them birds home first.well done

pigeon racing is a very competative hobby,thats why we have races best birds against best birds ,thousands spent on the best birds available to race the challenge to win the race not only against your fellow club members but against everyone in the federation combine etc .the man who shows dedication day in day out to condition motivate his pigeons against members who arnt intrested in looking after there birds ,are normally held back by the majority of these fanciers when it comes to voting be it on prizes gained etc, thats the difference of a good fancier or a poor fancier someone who can do it week in week out and not with basket loads of pigeons ,the prize distributionin in many clubs as killed many clubs lost many fanciers because the cannot or do not want to challenge the top fanciers in the club, this also applies when good fanciers apply to join clubs there more or less always turned down ,we all keep pigeons for a hobby every bird entered into a race has the chance to win it thats why when the fanciers who you say only keep them and send them as a hobby always have there clock set .this is not only a club problem you see it in federations when one club constantly dominates a federation .not all fanciers have the oppertunity to fly in national classic races through work or sheer distances or costs involved to travel to enter national or classic races .most fanciers bred and butter is club and federation racing week in week out thats what drives many fanciers on to win the club and hopefully win the federation .

i couldnt agree more ,too many fanciers are lost in this game through been turned down because they are good fanciers ,no club should be able to turn down anyone ,but sadly the loss of many fanciers is through fanciers leaving one club for another.theres too many small breakaway clubs formed by fanciers who cannot beat the topman .

i understand what your saying about the birds clocked after the sixth position but the birds clocked can go towards federation combine positions.sadly the thing with the positions constantly going people leave the club that they cannot rise to the challenge of beating the topman ,resulting in many clubs folding ,then top fanciers without a club .

if they pays there monies there entitled to take the positions ,whats the point in coming second third for a piece of card if these fanciers have got there birds home ,this is de-valueing the prize so the bird thats third would normally be 19th posistion .thats sportsmanship at its best if your beaten by better birds and fanciers accept it and enjoy your birds regardless if they win or not ,fanciers who cannot rise to the challenge of beating the top fanciers normally leave the sport under any excuse anyay .someone as to be top and someone as to be bottom.its always a good man who can shake the hands of a winner and they dont become winners without hard work and dedication to there birds . enjoy your pigeons

from the ladies posts ,she is saying people are trapping and shooting pigeons on a regular basis ,having read her posts again shes complained to the police and there in there right to shoot pigeons as these are classed as vermin .

sadly it is things like this that kill off alot of fanciers ,if no action as been taken after two years by the snfc or anyone else,it seems theres no evidence to support any claims against said fancier .also been tried in what looks like a kangeroo court does not show the pigeon sport in a good light .this can rumble on for ever one side think this man cheated the other side no case to answer,rumours hessay can go on forever .things like this not only destroy clubs federations etc but also fanciers who can decide enough is enough not really knowing whats gone on and decide to leave this sport.you see this sort of thing in most clubs all over britain come end of the season when two groups dissagree on anything be it ets rumours someones a cheat someones using drugs you name it , you are doing a dis-service to the past winners also the future winners of these great races by constantly putiing it down ,what ever has gone on -no outcome can ever change the results ,the glory as gone the accolades given out ,a new champion will be crowned lets hope its you .

no crime had been committed ,if im right in understanding what your saying in the threads ,you are working on the theory of hessay and the video evidence would not be allowed ,as people took it upon themselfs to determine the law and outcome.

well said ive said this for years all monies raised should be used to promote the hobby of keeping racing pigeons .monies raised could be used to bring kids into this hobby ,get them off the streets give them a hobby a intrest in life ,take pigeons into the schools give schools a loft and equipment ,we should have more shows open to the public throughout the year ,also publicise the major part played in the wars with pigeons etc .how do we expect to keep this hobby alive if no one knows about it .councils should give land for erection of lofts as this is one of the biggest things many would be fanciers are put off by neighbours screaming about our flying rats in there eyes,we have to stop this trend by councils not allowing pigeons to be kept in there gardens with no allotments potential fanciers are stopped dead in there tracks . shows could be held in city centres where the general public can view our magnificent birds free of charge ,show them the difference between our prized birds and the so called flying rats ,get them intrested which could bring in new members ,without it where will we be in twenty years time

then again if you fetch it back and it returns to there loft will he report it again or just keep it. i bought a bird at a sale some years ago ,it returned to its home to the neighbours loft took him 4 years to report it ,he was disgusted when i turned up and demanded the bird which was sat on youngsters in his loft.
