Jack had a fantail show bird given to him with a BIG full tail the guy who give it to him cut 6 tail feathers each side to aid breeding now the birds are in moult but the 12 tail feathers are still there should I A put the 12 cut tail feathers B leave them a long if left a lone will they fallout and new ones grow thanks mick

hi I'm thinking about changing the perches in the loft at the minute we have 12x12x6 ply boxes at the Dublin show there was a loft the perch design was boxes roughly about the same size maybe deeper only the perch was 2x11/2 across the front with 4'' strip 1x1mesh at the back with a tray underneath for droppings I'm thinking about that sort of design so what do you think or do you think some other design remember we have fantails with feathered feet if anyone has photos (close up if possible) please post them maybe DOVEScot or I think mutely could send their thoughts and the proper measurements thanks micko

sorry everyone I just got a call from gangster the judges were English and spoke a strange dialect I could not catch every word but Mick told me the judges said 2 reds in the phone call he said the judges said yellow and red I should have known once OLD YELLOW call it Mark "YOU ARE THE MAN" gangster hang your head in shame to all who called it right (and those who answered after mark don't count) well done

Mick threw you all a curved ball with his post just goes to show the judges were right a lot of fanciers DON'T know their colours judges said BOTH BIRDS ARE REDS as i said i dont know but Mick was doing ALL the talking

gangster spoke to the judges 2 of them about the colour of these two bird I was listening as I really don't know a lot about the names of the colours and said about the discussions on the site about reds the judge said don't worry about that A LOT OF EXPERIENCED fanciers DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO COLOUR OF BIRDS we all know that to be true a part from the likes of OLD YELLOW who IS THE MAN when it comes to colour now I'm not one to be mixing or winding so lets see ALL our experienced fanciers called these two birds
