  1. Tests should be done 4-6 weeks prior to pairing up and 4 weeks before racing. I would recommend the Retford Poultry Partnership 01777 703011. This company are being entrusted with the responsibility of checking the health of the birds in the Edin. Int. One Loft Race.
  2. If the clubs are to be taxed as a business, then all members of the clubs will then have to become partners in the business and will be responsible for sharing all profits and losses made. If the clubs are run in such a way that they make a loss of the amount the new taxes are then all members will be able to claim this money back against their personal tax. Personally, I dont think we need worry too much.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing the fed transporter as I was told it will be absolutely cracking
  4. I checked it out at the show on saturday Karl and its FIRST CLASS. Gordon seemed well pleased with the end result.
  5. Hi Paul, which one loft race has he entered. I'm running the Edinburgh International OLR. The Scottish Classic will be run out of paisley(i think) and will be flying down the west side of country. Dont know much about the race as rules havent been published yet. With quite a few one loft races to choose from next year there is probably something for every fancier to consider entering and their decisions will no doubt be made based on a number of different factors. What has been a big draw for fanciers to our race is the fact that it is only £25 per bird initial entry and if the bird doesnt make it to the 40 mile training toss you have no more to pay. If you need any other info just get in touch. Kenny Bald 07734063983

  7. Taking the wife down to the show. Can anyone reccomend a good place to stay
  8. Can someone tell me which airport is nearest to the show and how far away it is
  9. thought you were volunteering to receive the mail.
  10. I do hope that was you volunteering for the post mate
  11. Hate to admit it but I have also been shafted in the past and can only say this. If you don't do your homework, you'll not pass the tests. The minute people use a psuedonim(prob spelt wrong) in advert then im always suspicious. unless you actually do the groundwork and find out who they are, then just steer cleer. If you can see their results in black and white in the press then fair enough but at the end of the day there are con men in all walks of life and we need to minimise our chances of being robbed. Alf had a valid point about paying to advertise. If someone sends a cheque to pay for the right to advertise then that persons details are far more accessible and easier to prove for police/courts than just having someones address. I know the demands that running this website cant be that cheap and feel a nominal fee for advertising would not be out of place.

    Stalosan F

when you put it down make sure you sweep most of it up and put it in a poly bag to be re-used. this cuts down on dust and cost. you will know when to bin it Steve

    R.O WATER

this system of water purification removes 99.9% of impurities and when given to the birds over a long period will reduce the need for medications
  15. Does anyone know of a uk contact/supplier for these feeds.
  16. When you inbreed from a good bird for a few generations you are trying to stack up the good genes to give you a reproduction of the original good bird but at the same time any bad traits that are there are also made more prominent so any deviation from the type of bird that we are trying to create must be disposed of. Hope this helps
  17. the y/bs rung early january need to be trained early as well but can be trained at the same time as your old birds and if kept at it, they will take some beating when it comes to racing them
  18. If the bird is to be raced then d/g/child but if for stock the inbred d/g/child. you must remember that the closer your inbreeding goes, the more you increase the bad qualities as well as the good and very strict selection is needed when going down that road.
  19. Could someone pm me his phone number. Thanks in advance
