  1. i do worry about things like this as they come on here 1st time and then bid on things no further reply wait and see what happens if not heard nothing offer him to the next highest bidder and beware in future
  2. true i got a reward of a chap a while back after he recieved his bird via amtrak which cost him £35 to get 1 bird and then sent me a cheque for £15 so i would like to say that most people will send for birds i will always report birds if they come in and do what i can to reunite them but i cant release them far from home as i dont drive but i wouldn't accept money but the chap was insistant so i used it to buy my new baby an outfit for when he is born in 4 weeks

  7. i will keep him as he kits well with my birds and when i have watched him over the last few days he does really deep rolls actually better than a few of mine and he is a lovely colour will bath him and one drop him keep an eye on him then if all is well in a few days i will put him into loft with my other birds
  8. well i have caught the bird and but it in a box seperate from my loft no ring or stamp seems possible that he has been a stray for a while quite dirty and feathers are a mess but not got lice i will keep him in bathe him and pull damaged feathers to help him get back to peek quicker and treat him for worms and alike and see what happens i live in cheshire if anybody has an almond roller missing he is here with me and safe i will post pic later he is loft wise as he went into loft fine and was easy to handle

  15. it caotic isn't it cant belive how hard it is to get hold of good birds have been looking into high flying tippler's might get a kit of them for myself if i ever get round to building my kit boxes i am no good at DIY and am very lazy LOL

A strange thing happened today an almond roller turned up when i let my birds out flew with the kit as if he was part of the team landed with them bathed in the bath stayed around for a while with them then took off but i was thinking i was mad the last few days as i have been counting my birds when they fly out there is only 8 birds in total 6 of which fly out at a time but i always counted 7 this been since fri-sat just thought i was going mad then this happened today only worry is that on observation he seemed in bad condition good health but tail and wing's look bad with feather rot i wonder if i should keep mine in or still let them out and try catch him in nobody around my area has any rollers only 2 people have pigeons they have racers so it must be lost but i had chance to look at legs on roof no rings not sure what to do any advice

Racers are far better at rearing than roller's that is what i been told but the birds are 2 weeks old and doing really well i will take the hen away for a day and see what happens if the cock feeds them ok will re-pair her to original cock any other advise please on this matter i will seperate tomorrow after reading anymore advise Cheers Jimmy

Hi every1 i have had a problem in my loft with a shuffle around when pairing up i moved my cock birds around but i have had 1 pair which were unsucessfull in laying they have been paired for about 5 weeks the original cock to hen and vica versa are paired together but their chicks are now 2 weeks old and i want to put the hen back to the other cock then the hen the same but wonder if this will be a problem as i want to get a clutch of this cock and hen Jimmy
  22. if an egg or groth what should i do and if nothing should i seperate her from cock bird for a week
  23. i thought it was safer to use that than use the kettle will this not damage her and if there is an obstuction what should i do then
  24. i have similar problem a hen that has reared ybs has been paired for about 5 weeks still not layed but i have checked her vent and it is widened and i thought i had felt an egg last weeks but still nothing but what i felt i can no longer feel what should i do been giving plenty of cod liver oil also steamed her vent via my missus facial steamer thing any advice SORRY TO THREAD CRASH TAMMY_1
