    well the chap i got them from and a few of them have returned to him going to leave it till 2moro he's going to collect them in for me and i shall go collect them 2moro and i will be keeping them locked in with padbolt's until they are down on eggs i have an idea as to who it was who has let them out as they were seen around the garden shortly after i left for shopping
  2. cheers at the min it is not a worry now my reason being on my post LIVID some toerag has let all my new birds out and i have little faith in their return as they have only been here since 10/06/08 4 days not settled in so i am going to have to save up to restock again 3rd time now 2 hawk strike and then a little toerag does this

    i hope so paid a few quid for the birds and i dont think i could afford to pay out for more birds again as i have a new baby on the way so if they dont return i may have to give up for a while just stick to this pair and there chick

    hi phil i have padlocks the kids got bikes out to go my mums and i forgot to lock the gate they came from about 20 miles away would they return to him maybe i just cant believe some1 would do this to me and the lads but it wont stop us the birds have been here since tuesday and sat out in the cage front most of the day looking aroun out of the 14 bird there is 3 which were locked in nest box as they are parents and a chick so i have phoned the chap who i got them from but will have to wait and see what happens I cant believe i left gate open usually always carefull with gate my dog is a softy so he wouldn't stop any1 from coming in Jimmy

    Hi guys i have just got back from shopping and some1 has been in my garden(my own fault i know) i forgot to lock my gate and they have opened up my cage front and all my new birds have flown loft not been here long enough to know this is home and i cant see them flying around my area is there any chance they may come home If not does any1 in manchester area breed rollers or tumblers as i am going to have to start out all over again from scratch this is devastating for me and my son's since keeping bird we have had 2 hawk attacks and now some little A HOLE has been in and deliberatly let our birds out

  7. Hi guys i need to buy some new nest bowls but there are so many to choose from which are best for rollers I have a few clay bowls and some plastic dandy nests but i need some new 1's and want to know what would be best for them
  8. cheers i only bred from my racers once before hawk strike and was told that rollers were bad at rearing the young i had them before but never bred from them as i went to keeping racers but this time i'm going to stick with the rollers and i'm saving to get another loft up and running where i will also keep fantails and rollers but that wont be for a while yet cause got a new baby due in 12 weeks another son to get interested in keeping pigeons maybe 1 day my boys will be top roller guys or maybe even racers LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D

  14. Hi guys i need to find a webpage to get my bits and bobs from IE drinkers food hoppers and nest bowls i need to get some closed rings with the year on them any ideas guys

Well the birds seem keen to pair they are all ocupying boxes in there pairs so i will keep u all informed i have had to feed the YB again as its crop was empty also had to syringe feed it water am i doing the right thing the parent bird that came with it has paired up maybe to origanal mate and they are in same box as YB will just keep an eye on them Also do you think that when they all go down on eggs i should let them sit and hatch both eggs or should i put a dummy egg under them and let them single rear as i not sure if they will be good parents

  20. i give them that as i drink it cant stand tap water even the dogs get it tap water got funny taste to it what grit and minerals and wormer shoud i give them
  21. this may sound silly nut my birds get volvic water i need to get vite and minerals what sould i get and what worm treatment should i get for them

  23. i was hoping some1 would say that do you think it could be a change in food they are getting more mixture now ie maize and peas with wheat do u think that the yb will be raised ok on its own it doesn't need sitting now but still needs feeding its crop was empty when i got it home so i stoked a few grains in just incase

Hi guys as many are aware i suffered a hawk strike a few weeks back i have bought a kit of rollers only to notice that their droppings are all very wartery i got 10 on the 10th and 5 today the 12th 1 of them that came 2day with a 10day old yb in tow and the chap said i got the mate by mistake only my trouble is i cant figure out which as they are all very similar not sure if the 1 that came with yb is cock or hen any advice on what to do about yb and also about dropping i am in a right tizz over it the birds are all lovely look in great condition apart from droppings
