  7. perhaps your grandad had them tame , a few of mine will only eat from my hand ( spoilt gits ) and will not go to feeder tray to eat
  8. glad to hear there all clear must be good management keeping them that way
  9. no use in treating blind just get them tested when i doubt , save far more money on the drugs you or your birds dont need , sicky birds are better removed as are usually the source of re-occuring re-infections
  10. look far worse than they are
  11. electrolytes help the body take on water and restore the bodys balance so it doesnt flood , your ybs will drink what they need and are inexperineced in taking on water for reserves , however think they may drink a bit more now , when canker is present there dung smells and they drink more water as a result .
  12. no worrys
  13. too much protein in the feed feed light should go on its own , if not wrap thread around it to stop the circulation of blood then it will drop off
  14. well if i had a bad toss with hawk amongst them would lock up for a few days feed light and move training point if possible , tossing birds later in afternoon will reduce the attacks on your pigeons as they would of already killed earlier in day
  15. used to used it , teaspoon to 2 pints , and no not using it , prefer the electrolytes
  16. search pipa.be
  17. hope they work there way back in to you Vic , all the hard work breeding , training ectra , dam heartbreaking at times let alone the cost of it all
  18. ones i had were pieds with wfs looks like there very well reared must be doing something right
  19. look for a vet hygiene lab or ask local vet to see who specialises in avian in your area im sure someone on here will know your local one
  20. where do you live ? better to do a full test dropping and a micro culture swab
  21. birds regulate there temperature by puffing themselves up whilst resting , many old guys use parishs food as a tonic
  22. i use aviform Ultimate , i only used it for the vitamins , i liked the mollases based one better , my young birds havent needed any treating or ailed all season only just treated them last week for 1st time for pre racing. As for does it work i say it must be , but my flock are always treated by my vet 90% of the time its canker related other illnesses ride on the back of canker , good immune systems create better birds that dont ail .
