  1. Happy birthday i hope you have a great day , pass hoover and scraper and oven gloves to Duncan for day im sure he'll come up with a picture using them all , he may just buy you some flowers , plain , self raising , wholemeal , bleached ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  2. ive housed sprinters and distance pigeons in same loft for years and in same season have won shortest race and longest race due to space confines , if you have the room and time then best to keep seperate , but i find the sprinters tend to drag the distance birds behind them and it was never a problem having them together
  3. if you want your birds to trap quicker , then give them something to trap for and the best motivation i have found comes down to one seed and thats dari either red or white ( also called milo ) the folowing mix is a seed mix i have been using for years and it works and i have passed it on to a few people on here that have had bad trapping with great results , buy equal quantitys of the following Linseed , black rapeseed , hemp , canary seed , and dari use this mix during the racing season as a traping mix , out of season if flying birds out just used the dari , the dari tastes like sugar to the pigeons and they go mental for it , this will improve your trapping. With Mark Proctors permision i will copy his ims or he can tell you that it actualy does work.
  4. there dietry needs arent those of a racing pigeon Micko , so dampen corn with a freshly squeeze citrus fruit and add brewers yeast will give them all the vitamins they need and essential amino acids , good grit and a mineral pickstone will keep young Jacks birds in top condition , and i loved the Indian fantails they have personalitys of there own
  5. forever ~ Dee Dee ( or is it chicka dee dee lol )
  6. Forever young ~ Interactive ( is it your birthday chickadee if so happy birthday )
  7. forever in blue jeans ~ Neil Diamond
  8. the benifits would be the omega 3 oils and vitamin D which can be harmfull in large quantitys and not to be used when feeding ybs , be wiser geting Groundnut oil and just adding a drop to corn with some vitamised brewers yeast once a week there only indian fantails .

    CHOCOLATE HEN

i had the chocolate mulemans chocolates were good breeder but only when ofspring were blues bars checks n pencils and the chocolate were good breeders but wouldnt race, spent a fortune on them and all were crap
  10. that was exactly the point i was making , and nothing worse than pigeons holding corn
  11. most bacteria / infections are spectrum specific and you need the right treatment to treat it or the treatment wont work , i have used amoxycillin and ended up at vets with a bird thats white blood cells were sky high , think his vet wants shooting
  12. so basicaly you work from 4 pm to between 2 am - 4 am , im sure you could fit feeding twice a day into that time scale , wifes and girlfriends are also handy , but if wishing to feed once a day id stay clear of feeding a mix thats heavy with maize and safflower , until later on in the week
  13. think you need to re read i because on one hand you agree and other you dont , however there are fanciers that do win out of turn and arent able to feed twice aday , but if you have the time it is better to feed twice aday , feeding once a day makes birds store fat after feeding there dropping will be fine then there dropings will lose consistancy , feeding twice aday makes the droppings consistant as arent relying on store energy as fat

  19. dont close your eye's ~ keith whitley
  20. If members have flown from this race point has liberation been hampered by weather and what have your returns been like , and whats the access to the site like and how good a site is it ?
  21. very good results
  22. i personaly think the fairer way to do such an auction would to be list all birds photos online and use a laptop at the actual auction and enter bids via the laptop from the actual auction room
  23. has everyone seen the birds been listed online for an open ofline auction ? this surely is illegal as the online winner doesnt win the bird its offered at open auction at the internet price , just inflating the price to sell . Well it is rip off britain , a fool and his money are easily parted.
  24. and an American too boot
  25. yup looks that way
