  1. welcome to the site chico
  2. the harsher the winter the better the summer so im hoping for a hell of a cold snowy winter it be worth it if get a nice summer
  3. well i suppose it's hard to have a view when your practicaly are living in the pockets of your bosses and your home would be at risk , so you either put up or shut up but we are pasionate ands when we feel we have had enough ectra we have an outburst
  4. well had snow at Scarborough im sure its same everywhere , but has it laid anywhere ? we are lucky grounds wet so no chance of laying unless we get a ground frost first
  5. tip is with avery birds you shouldnt mix hard beaked birds with soft beaked birds , so canarys and finches would work as both soft beaked , but make sure birds are aclimatised or you'l loose the lot
  6. i cant find our old thread future of sport , however i feel that the damage within the R.P.R.A is unreversable , too many fossils anyone with any ideas are soon put to bed or cast aside as a trouble maker , there is only one way to to mend this damage and that is to start a new union from scratch , this union would however not be recognised by the R.P.R.A as a union , but if a shadow union started and gained membership then and only then would you have an alternative to the R.P.R.A , but the question would be those that just want to just send there pigeons and not get involved with the polotics join ? and we are at best a very small percentage of the fancy , if fanciers truely wanted change it could be done but not through the doors of The Reddings , as long as ex service boys are running the show the sport is in a nose dive situation , posts such as general manager should be split up and given to those with a passion for our sport , not for a golden hand shake till retirement sets in .

  14. local run pigeon shows will know conditon of birds at these times are like , however select them as you see fit picking the better moulted pigeons or ones gone through the moult it's only a bit of fun and if you manage to pick up a few cards all well and good i have shown once and picked up quite a few cards but i only sent to show because these birds would be in a show race 50 / 50 half of winnings split between show and race it was the race i wanted so the show was a bonus

  20. as you state theres some uneccessary posts on for sale threads , however everyone is a potential buyer , if in your advertisment and that of others you can explain in as much detail possible any forseable question that might arise from prospective buyers , then ask for the thread to be locked then all questions or further information can be done via private messages. You can save your private messages and copy and paste if repeating questions to members or the alternative is to have some questions arising that may be dificult , it is entirely up to the vendor to choose to answer these questions , as you have state you have no quarms with answering as nothing to hide this will however give the sale better credence as your honesty and integrity are the very first part of any sales pitch . Regards Mark

  25. Well i would of said scratching could be as others have stated either dust from bloom or respirity problems as a precaution i would brush all the dust / bloom from ceiling mesch if any , and wipe all walls down with Jeyes Fluid , then treat the respirity then repeat the wiping of walls once treated for , it also sounds like either or both canker / throat flem may have flaired up as a result of the respirity , did you remove the grit when treating the respirity infection ? but if there is a respirity problem ventilation needs to be looked at to prevent further out breaks
