  1. Woke up this morning every part of my body aching from carrying sections and tiles all day up to 9pm last night lucky fer me got all remaining tiles in place to go up before I packed up last night
  2. guess you dropped it off lol cheers Well most of loft together just a quarter of roof to finish now
  3. Oh well it's sticky back day today at the loft Might get the loft up today with a bit of luck
  4. Cheers Duncan yes could be both lofts on a slope this one runs away from house and old un ran towards house Thinking of a cat flap there's plenty around here lol

Thanks for your input As said I'll judge the bases effectiveness by the timbers quality this has been out in all elements for 6 years and not one piece needed replacing which if did it would of been replaced Was surprised mesen at how well it's kept Plenty of life in it yet and me base not a haven fer vermin
  6. Honestly the boards were as tough and strong as day I put them down 6 year ago , just as well they were pressure treated should last a long while
  7. no issues with it before and all boards allow for breathing no issues of rising damp and membrane underneath wood that sits on breeze blocks

All loft now at home thanks to Paul Douthwaite for giving up his time and bringing it on wagon in a few trips and he didn't even accept payment owe ya one mate , yer a star Also Thanks to George Hill ( me old man ) , Dellsidelofts and Peter Thorpe and Andrew Hindle that helped with the loading unloading Just need to get it back up now Dellsidelofts and I have put floor down tonight and covered all chipboard up Glad it's here now

Cheers matey , most of it not done by me lol been disabled not very good with power tools , however I did get all the fixings and put membrain down and lined it all up Most of it done by Dellsidelofts and me old man , so have to give others credit where it's due cost me nigh on a packet of fig rolls like pmsl
  13. Base Done today with Dellsidelofts who also brought a lot of the tiles round cheers matey
  14. might need a few strips of lap fer bottom other than that came down pretty well , looks like insides were hardest job to take down lol
  15. moved 1.1 miles lol not too far , but nearer to bairns school , nearer to pigeon club headquarters and nearer to my good friend Wayne AKA DellSidelofts oh and nearer to Chinese take a way which is probably a bad thing lol :emoticon-0140-rofl: , Well managed to get loft flattened today with Wayne's help , and the wooden base round to new house also moved a few tiles . Hopefully get the base down tomorrow before rest of loft arrives Loft came apart quite well only a little bit of damage which will be easily sorted

  17. loft been dismantled today and moved tomorrow night , can't wait until all finished

  20. Just back in from loft , or spider hotel , managed to get stock loft gutted and hen perches down , thanks to Kirky for making an appearance to give me a hand , I didn't expect it as he aint too good health wise , much appreciated mate

    Welcome to Pigeon Basics , you are probably better to contact the R.P.R.A and contact them and ask for clubs in your area find your local club I'm sure the sec and members will help you out in getting started We hope you enjoy our site Mark
  22. loft all cleaned out birds fed and watered and put some grit in trailer took all nest box fronts down in stock loft So guess I've made a start
  23. Yup am thinking of breaking them as be no yearlings fer next year
