  1. After going on holiday to Turkey for a fortnight last May i decided to use deep litter in the form of hempcore making it easier for Kirky to look after my birds whilst i was away , my intension was to rip it out when i got back but i decided to keep it , well i paired up on the Monday after Blackpool quite a lot of birds down on eggs , then a few in the race team start laying on the floor so i decided to let them all seemed to be going fine till i went in to give there evening feed and to my supprise nests on floor getting more and closer together i was in disbelief they would want to do this then on way out on one nest on floor 4 eggs so today i have decided the deep litter will be removed and all nests on the floor , ill not use it during the breeding period in the race loft ever again nor let birds nest on the floor , i have posted this as even i can make the occasional mistake , one i dont intend to make again

  9. well if you went to certain lofts like Van loon no reds there but then if went to the greats like Sion , Bricoux and Van Der esp prodominately red so cant see your argument standing up , if you like blues your not going to be persuaded to buying reds in and vice versa , its down to individual choice

  17. Brewers Yeast Brewers Yeast is known as nature’s wonder food, a name that it certainly deserves. It is an excellent source of all the major B vitamins (except B12). It also contains other vitamins, sixteen amino acids and fourteen or more minerals. The Benefits of Brewers Yeast Sleep – It has been shown to help people having difficulty sleeping. This is due to the Niacin and Vitamin B6 present in the yeast, which work together to produce the brain chemical seratonin, which is essential for restful sleep. Fatigue – It has been shown to help people who feel fatigued, since many of the B group vitamins present are essential in the release of energy from the carbohydrates in the food we consume. Diarrhoea – It has been used to treat diarrhoea caused by Clostridium difficile. Properties Brewers yeast contains many different vitamins, minerals and amino acids. The major vitamins are:- Vitamin B1 (thiamin) – releases energy from carbohydrate in the diet, and is important for the heart and nervous system. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) – releases energy from carbohydrate in the diet, and maintains healthy skin, eyes and digestive tract. Niacin (Vitamin B3) – releases energy from carbohydrate, and helps to maintain healthy skin, digestive tract and nervous system. Brewer's yeast (also known as brewers yeast or brewing yeast) can mean any live yeast used in brewing. It can also mean yeast obtained as a by-product of brewing, dried and killed, and used as a dietary supplement for its B vitamin content , as not killed it could be harmfull and as a wet product the concentration of vitamins will de reduced unlike the dried variety
