hi mate, at the moment, well for the past two weeks training 5 days/30miles ive got the hens (17)trapping to the cocks section i release the hens 1st then 30min later release the cocks (17) so the hens will be waiting in there boxs,then i separate them after 15 min, so the only time they see each other is when they get back from training, am i doing everything ar.sebackards?cheers

hi mate,dont seem to be anything amiss, when i get home there all in the in there nest boxs showing up to one another,then i separate them, droppings look fine,its the flying around for 10 min or more that baffles me, but when they set off for home 30 miles so do i but they are always back before me takes me 30 to 35 min to get home :(cheers

hi all, when training why is it taking my birds so long to clear the training point they are going around for at least ten min, replys welcome cheers.

hi, i had last year one y/b go on roof all the time when let out, the others flew well and landed on lofts, i put it in the bin 8)

hi,as a lad in the 60s i kept tumblers&tipplers one morning letting the birds out before going to school an old chap was standing at the back of my pigeon shed and the very first thing he said to me was(you got to give them the cake) i thought whats he going on about ??)well the next morning he came again only this time with the cake he picked out one grizzel and two black badge tipplers and told me to keep them alone in the orange box,s, he gave them this cake and within a couple of weeks they were flying from one hour up to fourteen hours still up on coming from school and they took some dropping, the tumblers would fly upto four or five hours, he stopped coming to see me and i found out later he had passed away, i learnt later this old chap was fred cope he held the world record for tippler flying at some point, i dont know to this day what was in that cake but it sure made the pigeons fly 8) one other thing he said was when the birds are off the hooks break a couple of freshly laid eggs and mix into the feed they will be as right as rain,food for thought

hi, im going to print your post and show it my racing partner 8)the last three seasons he wants to send our ybs to every race saturdays/wednesdays every week, im the one who gets up early to clean the lofts 5 of them and breed 60 odd ybs each season just to throw them away, we have only 10 old birds to race when racing starts and he wonders why ??)he comes over to my house where the birds are at 5 oclock on the night to inspect all that i have done ??) i want to build a team for the future and it is going to start this year, ive bred 62 ybs and they will be split into three lofts and raced weekly or as i see fit, little does he know its his last season racing pigeons at my home and i will never fly as a partnership again.sorry if this sound a bit strong but ive had enough.
