I hate the aluminium show/widowhood baskets, they are to short and damage tails. I meant the geraldy type alloy crates, easy to steam clean and dissinfect, only sweat if to many birds in them otherwise ideal and will last.
  2. The link below does work but it might be a good idea if you are going to join an English site that you have a translated version online!
  3. here we go again, stop guessing and get them tested!

aluminium, light and easy to clean.
  5. don't fill up the gap under the loft, bigger gap the better, the air can flow feeely and keep the floor dry and if well off the ground nothing will live under it.

  9. looks great, as Phil says build a frame under the nest boxes and lift them as high as you can then fill in under boxes to stop birds nesting under there!
  10. never catch the birds when they home, certainly don't chase them around the loft, thats what stall traps are for, no stress!
  11. what would be nice is for the experienced fanciers, prob old school, to use the above information and put together some sort of table with source, use, qty, preperation and doseage etc. Think this would be good info for everybody. Phil
  12. like most things though, its about a balanced diet.
  13. interesting info
  14. What are we suposed to do with the other half of the team?
  15. Sorry Phil, crap with names! Fred!
  16. Paul, you could also try these, I know they will have it as I used to do some driving for them! http://www.aalco.co.uk/locations/locations.html
  17. did you have any luck Paul?
  18. it doesn't take 13 years to find out whats going on! We can tell them in 5 minutes but if they (RSPB) can keep delaying an outcome for 13 years then how much longer can they get away with hogwashing the SHU?
  19. of course Tammy, unfortunatly we can't do it any other way! Its so sad though when they have accidents! ;)
  20. Birds are being taken all over the uk, but from what I understand the Scottish have been asked to monitor and report attacks for research where as other area's deal with the problem in other ways.
  21. in which case there is nothing stopping the vendor sending them except for the £1 plus stamps, but could save agro latter. Phil
  22. I thought all transfers only required the vendors signature but require both vendor and new owners names & addresses!
  23. even from the committee? Have they been sent out to clubs etc yet?
  24. Get the rule changed at the AGM Gail!
  25. i think the union rules should be changed making it the responsibility of the vendor/breeder to transfer his birds. At the end of the day its in the sellers interest to get the birds transfered as they would be responsible for courier costs if the birds were to be reported at any point in there life! Phil
