think they was originally based on the old commines sprint pigeons of belgium from many years ago,george busschaerts champon mealy cock pluto was 1/2 commines.

as a close friend of Alan Astin for many years, i have spent a lot of time in his company and his lofts and i know his birds well,these are the real McCOY. to any fancier thinking about getting some i can reccomend them as good honest pigeons from a good source that are continuelly tried and tested at the highest level.

its a buyers market peter always read the peds when buying, so you can compare with what they say they selling you is what it says on paperwork. its no gaurantee bye the way you are getting what you think you are (to many dodgy dealers out there) ALWAYS do your home work and ask around, reputation by word of mouth is a good yard stick to go by off other fanciers. small lofts with big reputation is what you should think of looking into mate and the feed back off your fellow fanciers. best of luck. jimmy
